  1. CA is calcium, & yes, there are test kits to test for calcium levels in a tank.

I shifted it just now! Had to hold it together with the rock & move together... Phew! Now it's further from the glass
  5. Nice DIY project! Great 3-in-1 idea
  6. If you need to increase it, use Randy's reef calculator to see how much you need to dose. Is your Ca level ok? That needs to be adjusted in tandem with your KH. If you need to decrease it, like Willy said, can do WC. Otherwise, can also have your livestock slowly decrease it as they consume it.

hi bro, thanks, I need to arrange my tank first before taking FTS, now very messy
  9. Sharing some random pics of my livestock... taken under full 100% white & blue using Cherry Aqua Inano lights Crocea Optic Fibre Indo SSC, cannot get good PE on it though..
  10. Hi, what chiller are you using for your nano? Am looking for options for my nano too
  11. Hi, any ideas where I can find small 1cm magnets? Intending to use for long-term usage in the tank, so it needs to be reef-safe & not leach stuff...
  12. Wow the colors are v nice! Nice blend of blue & purple
  13. My own take...... You can still consider Xenia if you have it growing on a removable piece of rock, or if the rock is isolated on the sandbed. So long you don't have it growing on your main rock scape I'd think you are fine... But you have to monitor its growth as it spreads. Once it gets onto your main rock scape it's going to result in needing to tear down, possibly.
  14. Maybe acclimatizing to your tank para & lighting? I had a green stag which turned brown overnight lol, thought it was a goner... But after shifting it to better lighted position, it started to green up nicely again.. Took almost 3wks though
  15. Hi, anyone seen this around in LFS? Looking for small frag of it..
  16. Most hitch hiking crabs are nocturnal. To see them in action, have all lights at night, then with a flashlight you can see them venturing out of their hiding place
  17. How you bring them thru immigration though? Thought quite strict one
  18. Coralline is hard, calcerous. It growing freely in your tank indicates that your parameters are stable & tank is maturing cyano is soft, slimy. It growing freely in your tank indicates a problem with nutrients. Its spread must be managed otherwise it can grow over surfaces quickly.
  19. just dose direct, didn't target feed as I figured it's mostly trace elements, so it's not quite like food...
  20. Used an ice pick to punch thru the cap, & superglued around the air tubes. Still can't use when off during holiday, will need a much bigger bottle
  21. This is why as interesting as hermits are; I'm sure they are fun & interesting to watch as they go about their antics, I have not added them to my tank as I heard they can disturb tank setup & corals.. hope yours behave soon! Otherwise can consider sumping them
  22. IMO it's a risk as most hermits are known to be opportunistic, then again, if food is in abundance, they might ignore corals altogether, gotta try & monitor very closely I guess on separate note, sad to see the dead horseshoe crab....it looks huge & is missing its tail :(
  23. Hi, looking for used & reliable refractometer, deal in west. Pls PM if available, thanks!
