  1. Wooaaah wait! Is that a real black-tip shark???
  2. Personally, 12.5 is higher than normal, but not crazy high to warrant a WC.. If I were in your situation, I'd just stop dosing the alk part & let the system correct itself. Intent here is to minimize further quick KH swings
  3. Awesome growth & color in your ochtodes!! Very nice! btw I think the brown algae might be dictyota?
  4. Sold... Thanks for viewing
  5. Looks like neon blue goby, google it to cfm
  6. Up, still available!
  7. Thanks guys! I'm shortlisting the rw4 too, the stock pump is really not enough..
  8. Hi guys, can share what powerheads or wavemakers you guys are using in your IM10?
  9. Wow nice additions, the shape of your two new acro colonies fit nicely into your scape.. btw your sandbed, can add some clams?
  10. Great to see you here, Dr Ang! thanks for the insight on what triggers a situation where softies & SPS start to react to each other, very motivating that both can be kept successfully in one tank with good husbandry. Also learnt something new, correcting my flawed understanding of running carbon
  11. Hi guys, may I know what color is the Xenia? Interested..
  12. Still available, collection buona vista area

    Need advise

I would do only a once weekly change if I were in your situation.. I wouldn't do too frequent changes as that could stress the corals out more.

Salinity is abit on the low side while your nitrates is rather high considering your bioload seems light. I'd suggest a 10% WC to progressively adjust the levels
  15. Hi, can't see it too.. This is what I see on my mobile. Pls upload again as I would really like to see how your tank has grown! You do really have some pretty damn amazing macro shots of your corals!
  16. wow man, what SPS is this?! The colors are madness! So colorful!!

Yup as tuajia mentioned, nitrate kit is highly recommended so you can get a lid on what's going on with the tank.. Depending on the relative amount & condition of the recently added live rock, your tank could possibly be seeing a spike in nitrates, etc once you cfm your readings, consider doing a 10% water change to reduce any elevated levels meanwhile, continue to feed appropriate amounts where there's minimal accumulation of uneaten food in the tank...

the live rock that you added.. Is it cured? Any readings for ammonia or nitrates?
  19. Hi, have two patches of GSP growing on a 2" X 1" flat rock to let go at $10. PM me if keen
  20. Thanks! Interesting product! Any reviews of how it fares against the stock cover? That comes with fabric meshing which allows airflow. Is this solid acrylic or comes with meshing too?
  21. Still looking... If seen at LFS, pls let me know too, thanks
  22. You could consider getting nassarius snails to sift your sand & clean up some of its detritus
  23. Asterina starfish. Best to remove as some types are known to eat SPS..
  24. I use LIFE for my top up & water changes. Honestly I don't think it's causing your diatom outbreak.. It's one of the purest waters out there locally for our reef tanks. If you like, you can do a nitrate & phosphate test on it.. diatoms can be caused by silicates which is sometimes in live sand. The diatoms should start to go away as the silicates deplete. That's of course assuming that proper tank husbandry is maintained.. & yes, decreasing your light cycle for now would help to a certain degree
