  3. Anyone can help to answer? Sofishticated Friend
  4. Bro may I ask if it is possible to just buy an RO/DI unit like urs and run the saltwater from the sump thru the filter even when it is already hosting livestock in the main tank? Sofishticated Friend
  5. Hope you guys are enjoying my posts so far! Am looking to reduce my phosphates, after which I shall move towards adding some SPS corals. So far my nitrates have been between 3-5 ppm and personally I like it at the level. Will use rowaphos to bring down the phosphates soon.
  6. So I added one more gyre at the corner today, directing half to blow the back part of the tank, and half to blow towards the front. Hoping to create more flow at the bottom part of the tank so that red slime does not accumulate at the sandbed. From the side profile can't be seen. Some close up shots since I'm using my Nikon already. Haha. Really in love with my fishes. All look so cute! Sofishticated Friend

  11. Thanks@drdavis! My glass thickness is 12mm, crystal glass for front and left panel. Yeast seems to rapidly remove the diatoms that accumulate at the start. I just dose a dash of it every two days for a week. Kinda like how you add salt to soup. Haha. But the correct measurement was first featured on Reef2reef and it was something like 1/4 teaspoon for every 300 gallons of water. Sofishticated Friend
  12. Hi guys, my previous tank was the IM Nuvo Fusion Mini 40 gallons, and had quite a good time reefing with that tank. The only challenge I did not manage to overcome was the nutrient export that was hard to do with an IOS, given the limited space that it has for good skimming and filter media. That was why I went for the big upgrade when Aquarium Artists had their opening special! Sharing here as a testimonial that their tanks are one of the best around! Not to mention prompt and friendly service! Poor Vincent was running a fever, but since he had committed to the date, he honored the agreement and came as agreed on the 28 July. Thanks to them, I was the proud owner of my new tank! I wasted no time in filling it up! Since I had livestock and rocks from my previous tank, I had to quickly port them over as I was housing them in a temporary tank! Went to AA to get more rocks for my tank. Rescaped! Bought more fish too. Haha Soon ran into diatoms issue, read that you can use yeast to counter it. So I went to buy yeast to try! I'm glad to say that 3 doses over 7 days was all it took and the diatoms were gone!! I did not like the huge rock at the bottom right corner so I swooped it out again. After more deliberation I decided this was the best layout. Have been sticking with it since! Hope you guys enjoyed the post! Happy reefing!
