  5. Hi Tim, come across this when I searching for discussion forum on moving house. I hope you have successfully moved the tank to your new place. I am considering to buy out an existing live tank but not sure how the move can be done. If you already have the experience, kindly share some insight and lesson learnt. Thanks.
  6. A very nice tank, for a month that's impressive. Can you share the setup details? Do you also maintain a quarantine tank or new fish goes straight into the display tank?

  10. yes i do think that to have all basic elements figured out before getting a set-up, the more i read i find something missing, so i guess won't rush into setting up my reef tank yet.
  11. I recently dropped by Jireh Marine, saw the eco-easy tank for beginners, advertised as 'all in one' and quick start system for a 2ft or 3ft tanks. The 2ft tank with cabinet comes with $1,199 and the 3ft tanks with cabinet comes with $1,499. The system is supposed to allow you to jump start the hobby easily. I saw 2 display tanks and the corals and marine fishes thrive in the tanks, thought i can't tell if the setup is exactly the same as the eco-easy, or extra equipments are needed. If anyone has such a system at home, hope to hear their experiences.
  12. I think you need to make sure both Ammonia and Nitrate at 0.00 ppm before you put the live stocks in the tanks. Best to separate the remaining fishes until the tank is fully cycled
  13. Nice tank you got here for a new hobbyist, i'm reading up for some basic know-how before I jump start. Can you share the total cost of owning a marine fish tank?
