  1. Sigh, I do WC almost once every 2 days...water still dirty meh? My temperature is about 26 deg with perfect water parameters/chemistry..
  2. shy88devil bro, advisable not to mix all these in the QT..and dose it after tank is cycled. Once gotten the livestock, I did not dose the medication straight away..i monitor it for a few days..if it shows sign..den I will add the suitable medication.. For eg..when I first bot my humu picasso trigger, it kept scratching its gills against the pvc pipe..i suspected it could be flukes...den I added Eiho Parzi..after about 10 days..signs disappeared and back to normal behaviour..monitor for further observation..finally after a total of near 3 weeks den I put it in my DT
  3. Yes I used the water from my DT for my QT..i also seed my sponge in the DT and then put it in the QT so that there is already BB in it... Bear in mind too that you also need to do WC for QT as well... Btw, just to share with you the types of medication I am using during quarantining...
  4. I used to keep a kuda seahorse for the first time..however it did not make it...noticed its skin was peeling...suspected was Vibrio..did not know what to do... tot of feeding it again.. currently have changed my setup to macroalgae and replace with pipefish
  5. Actually bro, quarantine them before putting them into DT is strongly advisable as there are a few advantages:- 1) Observe if they are feeding well 2) Observe if they are sick or suffer from infection/diseases such as flukes, ich, brooklynella etc and if they do have, quarantine tank is the place to treat them 3) Prevent DT from getting all the diseases etc.. Quarantine tank (QT) can be setup with very basic equipment...bare-bottom tank, sponge filter or HOB filter (no active carbon) and PVC pipes will suffice.. Something like that..
  6. Looking forward to see more pix with fishes and corals!
  7. Just to introduce this product call "Chemiclean" A couple of weeks ago my tank encountered red cyanobacteria bloom..this product comes in a powder form and usage is 1 spoonful for 40L of water. After using one time, within 48 hours, all the red slime disappeared, at the same time did a 20% WC. Ever since then, until now, no sign of cyano surfaces.
  8. Well..diatoms are harmless to the fish..but since ur cycling process is at its tailend..just make sure ammonia, nitrite and nitrate readings are perfect despite the presence of diatoms, you can start adding in your Nemos! For clownfish, better to add 2 at the same time else if you add in separately, they may fight unless you only intend to keep only one or the size of the later addition Is much much bigger or smaller...
  9. shy88devil, your tank's cycling process is almost coming to an end, just do a few more WC to even bring down the nitrate level and u r good to add livestock! But bear in mind not to add too many at a time...when comes to marine, patience is the key!

  14. Hi bro, this was initially a FOWLR tank when I set up 10 mths ago until I fully converted to reef about 5 mths ago...therefore...the current setup is about 5 mths.. I bot salt mix water from LFS for water change...

  18. Better not to put tgt with Angels as they are really slow eaters and swimmers..the Angels will definitely finish up their food and may bully them as well... Yeah u r right bro!

  20. I also bot a clove polyp 3 days ago and on the first day I placed it on the top and it did not open due to strong flow. Yesterday I decided to bring it down and position it in the middle and it started to open a little..this morning before going to work notice it fell down and lay on my GSP..hope it's ok...gona put it back to its original position again tonight and post some pix..
  21. I am currently keeping 2 pipefish (zebra banded and green) together with mandarins and I feed them with mysis shrimps and live copepods. Pipefish prefer water with lower temperature and slower water flow. Better to put macroalgae on/overhanging liverocks to simulate their natural habitat. May get another type of pipefish (yellow multibanded) if I happen to find one.
