  1. Hi guys, diatoms period gone, the difficult stage now: Green Algae! I understood that after green algae, if water conditions are good, coraline algae will be next. However some may never see coraline algae growth too. Anyone has recommendations to rid green algae, and speed coraline algae? Thanks in advance guys.
  2. Did you add a filter wool. Could it be your salt mix? I used RSCP salt and the water was cloudy until someone told me to add filter wool... 1 day, crystal clear, macam I'm diving in Koh Tao(Thailand) like that.
  3. Hi Brother Clowney13, have PM to you. Awaiting for your soonest reply, yah? Thanks.
  4. A shifter goby is indeed all is needed for the sand bed... Thanks guys
  5. I can trade in Eheim 1260 pump with top up, if it's useful to you.
  6. Hi bro clowney13, I have PM to you. Awaiting for your soonest reply. Thanks.
  7. Wah!! Then cannot read trigger fish at the moment liao...
  8. Anyone has cases whereby your Nigger Trigger fish eats up your shrimps?
  9. Hi guys, anyone with a Eheim 1264 pump to let go? Please PM me if you do yah? Thank you in advance.
  10. Hi brothers and sisters, does anyone have a Eheim 1264 return pump to sell? PM me if you do. Thank you in advance.
  11. Hi Bro, what does a sand shifting star eats? Other than shifting he sand, does it eats up the algae found on the sand? And will a small Nigger triggerfish gobbles the starfish up?
  12. Hi Bro Derick, why does a diamond watchman goby have a better coverage? It goes around the tank and don't usually hide at the same place? Or that it's a tidy and clean animal, and likes to clean the sandbed if it gets dirty? I have to quickly get one goby, as the sandbed is becoming unsightly soon...
  13. But at the same time, after reading everyone's advises, the most wary ones I have to take precaution about is the noise that may be created. Just like what bro picoreef mentioned. I'm running a bean animal system, it ought to be very quiet from what I see in youtube. But mine still has some very slight bubbly noise at sump. Not so obvious but can still hear at night. I'm using a 6 times turnover flow now only, I wonder what will happen if I uses a 15 times turnover return pump! Hmm..., really have to take note and be wary of it, because one of my top priority is reduction of noise and to the most minimal if possible... (Even the humming suing from a eheim pump is loud to me now... Heehee)
  14. Bro picoreef, why a 95l tank need a 3,000 l/h return pump? 30 times leh!!! My 4 feet(450l) uses a Eheim 1260 with flow rate 2,400L/H. I think it's too little, cos the overflow rate going back to sump is too slow and can't do much filtration. The waste even can float next to the overflow teeth and not go into the overflow system. Sigh... I have thus found a worth buy of Jebao 6500l/h return pump. It's almost gonna be 15 times the turnover. So I seek opinion from brothers here.
  15. Hi bros, anyone knows if we can have a return pump rate which is higher than 12x or above? Standard recommendation is 10x, but lets say if we use a return pump that has a capability of returning 12x to 15x, will it affect the tank system? Any pros or cons? Anyone have experience? Thank you in advance. (scenario: let's say a 450L tank, with 6,500L/H pump)
  16. Hi guys, I'm helping a friend to post his Bubble Magus Curve 5 (unused new in the box). PM me if interested. I will give contact so you all can deal direct. Letting go at $150.
  17. Can you confirm it's dust or air bubbles? Air bubbles rise, and dust after some times settles...
  18. My guess is your external filter is expelling bubbles in the process. I used to use an Eheim external canister filter. And occasionally when I heard a "Gusting" noise made by my canister, I know the next thing bubbles will be seen coming out from water inlet pipe into display tank. You can't control it if it's from your canister. The only precaution to be taken is to ensure canister is air tight.
  19. 6 inches!! That is big sized man! Yup! I'm thinking of getting one and let it grow together with all others as well... Hmm..., worth a try! (But does your eat pellets?) If anyone has other opinions about Niger Trigger fish, please share with us. Whether it becomes a terror in your tank, eats up his tankmates, gobbles up your Zoas, or corals... Please share with me too. Thanking in advance.
  20. Nope! Why? Does a watchman goby helps?
  21. Up for the shark-funding! Anyone more care to chip in an effort for the freedom of this black-tip reef shark? Need some more to offload Bro Welly's chest for the black-tip to be donated. 1. Anchorman : $30 2. Dez : $20
  22. Certainly hope the one if I choose can be as demure too! Wapian! What if it gobbles up my cleaner shrimps on the process of "freshman" orientation! Wahahaha! I have to squat one side to sob liao… Bro, ow much you bought Niger trigger fish for at LFS? And does it get big very fast? Because when size differs, mouth differs too, then appetite change and gobbles inmates! (also a truthful predicament)
  23. Hi Guys, have anyone rear a small-size Niger Trigger fish at home before? Can share with me the experience? What it will eat or gobble? Will it attack other fishes, gobble up corals and bite me when my hands are in the tank? I have phobia with trigger fishes ever since I was taught diving, but I has always admire a Niger Trigger fish swimming with its flapping up-down fins. So I seek opinion from brothers and sisters here. Is it a good fish to rear? Thank you in advance for a reply.
