  3. anyone heading into the LCK farms tomorrow and wouldnt mind carpooling (Im in the yck area)? would like to avoid taking a cab in there again lol.
  4. I cant take all the credit for the scape, the uncle from AM painstakingly stacked it as per my desire/direction for a good few hours before we settled on this! Thanks for the encouragement everyone! Will post some pics of the goodies in my QT and other tanks soon.
  5. Hi all, my mixed reef tank seems to be coming along nicely, just slowly stocking fishes (rest of the fishes are in QT) and waiting for the corals to grow out! 3x2x2 Tank is from AM, got the set from them pretty reasonably. 90Gallon display and roughly 20gallon sump. Skimmer, bio pellet reactor, macroalgae, rowaphos and carbon in the sump. Shan't bore you with too much text, just gonna attach a video i made randomly on a hazy day. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSQmnD7mzKw
  6. any idea what price range the jocolators fall between? thanks in advance. ballpark estimate would be nice.
  7. i actually wrote to them on their FB wall and they replied and said that they will get their IT guys to look into it. this was maybe 5 days ago. but still nothing
  8. just left AM, they say shipment might come tomorrow, but most likely thurs and fri. Bali and PH shipment respectively. Coral and fish from Bali, mostly fish from PH.

  10. Hi looking to give away my 1inch cube box fish caught and currently in QT. Will post pic when I get home. But it's your run of the mill yellow boxfish we see. Interested parties please pm. Willing to deliver to you for a minor convenience fee! Thanks for looking!
  11. Was there yesterday. they just got in some stuff. only thing of note was a golden angel, some flames, really small flagfins, bunch of butterflies iirc.
  12. Ahh okay. thanks! I was thinking more of like making like building props for ruins/old buildings. But i will defo check out his tank. thanks!
  13. Hello, has anyone tried making DIY props or commissioned certain props for their aquascaping? Looking at trying something a little different! For example, what are aquarium safe products and foam to use or avoid etc.
  14. Iwarna has a bunch of YTs on sunday. Probably still have some there. Ah beng had a few pieces too i think..good luck!
  15. Yea, its like a first glance thing, first line of defense, oh-s*** alarm. It looks like it doesnt work half the time, but trust me it has been working for me. the moment the tank spikes or the water turns weird it will reflect that. I asked on the seachem support forums. It's readings will differ from your API test kits or what not be cause it only reflects harmful ammonia not total ammonia (which API does, not sure about the other ones, but they should state on the box what ammonia readings they reflect).
  16. Diatoms are largely due to silicates which comes from dead or dying sponges and crap on your life rock thats decaying. Tap water and the quality of substrate you are using causes release of silica as well. Water changes and siphoning would help...but i would just wait it out and let them starve themselves. IME it doesnt affect livestock in there because ive made the mistake of assuming the cycle was over when the surprise algae assaults happened one after another. When i see green algae i usually toss in some snails and CUC. Hair algae was plaguing me for awhile and then all was great till cyano came along (its getting better though T_T)
  17. Sad to hear you cant complete your project and i hope you relocate smoothly! Thanks for the advice!
  18. AM has some of their sri lanka stuff left over and that recent sps shipment. not much in the way of fish. Some fish of note include juvi emperors, moorish idols, heinochus and gobies.
