  2. Guys I recently bought a 2nd hand par 38 with holder but realized it was quite heavy... Don't know my tank can handle or not... I am really afraid that it my crack the side of my tank ... The whole thing is approx 2-3kg.. Any suggestion? Get a thicker tank or what else can I do?? Please help! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I understand. That's why I am trying my best to gain as much knowledge as possible before I go into it. A 45 cm might be small. But my plan is to have 2 filters (skimmer + internal filter) I guess the water should be clean enough... As for live stock I don't plan to put a lot... Maybe 4-5 fishes? Maybe if the surrounding temperature allows me, I might add on some hardy corals.
  4. I was wondering... As my tank is placed in my room... A hob filter might be a splash risk... Below the tank a lot of wire... Will a skimmer at one corner and an internal filter at the other end work? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. Where can I find fluval hob in the west ? I just went c328 they don't carry.... And for skimmers , is it possible to use a small one ? I saw one mini one for $15 only lol
  10. That's why I only want a hob and or maybe a mini skimmer haha. So the led light of the one I chose is jot suitable for marine ?
  11. Hmm as the tank serves as a nano tank I am afraid if I put more filtration it won't look nice haha.. Initial plan was a hob and a mini skimmer .... My budget around $250.... 36cm or 45 cm tank both works for me.... As long as there is cover..haha
  12. Hi all marine keepers, I am a fresh blood from the fw side of the hobby, I still am and I wish to venture into marine fish keeping . My plans for a small tank in my room. Initially I wanted to purchase one set which was recommended by the sales lady... But I feel that it is abit over price. 2xx+ And the glass quality is not that good. So I decided to source for parts outside. For my tank- ans opticlear tank 45x27x30cm with glass cover (is it advisable to put a tank cover ? ) Lights - up aqua pro z series led light for marine (45cm) Filtration - atman hang on back filter with skimmer ( what flow rate should I get ?) I am not getting a skimmer as I will be putting the set in my room... Don't want too much noise haha. (But please share your views on this) Anyway, where can I buy live sand and live rocks? I have no idea what corals or fish I am gonner put as my knowledge on those are pretty limited... Maybe some seniors out there might be able to guide me ? Haha Thank you in advance!
