  1. A colony ? Acclimate them slowly , increasing salinity by 0,005 per day (Ideally , haha , mollies are very tolerant to salt so you can over do it like 0.01per day)
  2. Haha, take a few days to change them to brackish conditions then to full marine. [emoji106] Yes, but they stopped when I changed the male sail fin because the previous one died -.-. Do mollies practice monogamy? Hahaha. Lost most of my babies as I found out too late -.- and there used to be a puffer.
  3. I only had clowns that will tear anemones haha. When the anemone too small for it.
  4. Will be testing water for the period Stocking mid April or so haha
  5. Realised i have been posting it on the wrong section of the forum haha Continuing here Tank stand came XD bought from a reefer in this forum > (Lots of thanks to that guy ).... While shifting the tank , lost my shrimp and my only coral .... Perhaps due to shock , not so sure The bioreactor back washed too , now I have to restart it -.- nitrates climbing again ... Enough of problems haha. Planning to stock the tank with : Hammar corals (hopefully clowns like it? and to add flow to the stale rock work) Gonio (same as hammer ) Green star polyps (again ) Mandarin fish (after I see that the pod population is booming again > ) Any advice will be much appreciated
  6. Haha , using bioreactor now. Nitrate consistent le yay ^.^... Getting corals next month haha ... Like the clam alot haha dk why Great tank >
  7. I was wondering why my shrimp died of shock today ... So I went to experiment with the food I was feeding ... Realised that whenever I feed frozen brine-shrimp , the nitrate level will shoot up by 75ppm. Anyone have any tips on reducing this spike? p.s Heard of thawing it in fresh water first then net the food out to feed (like "washing" it)
  8. Got some banggai cardinals and a shrimp as mentioned earlier. The shrimp lost one arm o.o is she going to be fine? I will consider about the ato. Need to get a tank stand and LED for my other tank > ... Budget tighter and tighter . Thanks for all ur input .
  9. Recently tested... Bio pellet reduced the tank NO3 to 2.5ppm ^.^ (with salifert test kit).... Running about 50ml of biopellet for 20gallons ... Hopefully this information helps. Cheers
  10. To update you guy haha so long le... Recently got a shrimp , and a cooler fan (water still hovering about 28-29 cox now weather hotter >< without it the water temp will be 32 ) , acclimated her for 3 hours then added her into the tank. She is swimming around fine now > ... So I guess I was too impatient that time . Thanks for all your advice Cheers
  11. Got another coral banded shrimp > This time acclimated it for 3 hours, it survived . First shrimp that survived for more than 5 minutes in my system , I am ashamed of my bad acclimating practices before >< Aiyoyo ... had some friends over, they pointed out to me that the desk starting to sink o.o ... now finding stand to move it onto ... Thanks for the heads up. ATO too ex > . So I just have to do some manual labour hahaha
  12. Anyone have spare one or dw liao. Pm me price
  13. I just went there today haha ... Drive along farmway 1, till u see a construction side on your left , there should be a lane for you to drive up. You should be able to see a altar at the top of the hill and piles of dead rock. Hope this helps .... Google street view not really up to date. Good luck Cheers
  14. Recently have a crash ... snail somehow found its way into the protein skimmer ... Lost all my fishes and corals but two mollies and some inverts Update on lifestock: black sailfin mollies x 2 Common clownfish x2 Red fire fish x 2 Blue-green chromis x 5 Bicolour blenny Inverts are the same ... Corals left with Green Star polyp ( recently bought again) Got some shrimp today but i was too hasty with their introduction... Both died of shock. Learnt my lesson, will acclimate for at least 2 hours next time. Burn my wallet (stupid me) The cooler fan worked. Tank temperature dropped from 32 degrees Celsius to 28-29 degrees Celsius. (28 in the night , 29 in the day) However need top up 1 litre of water every day to account for evaporation ~.~.
  15. Royal gramma ah beng should have ... 3 as of yesterday.
  16. I am using bio pellet reactor ... So it's kinda like daily dosage haha ... Bio fuel has enough kick to maintain nitrate at 40ppm as compared to 160ppm ... but it wasn't enough for me haha ... My aim is below 20
  17. Never mind, I reduced the volume of bio pellets I am using. Now everything running smoothly. Before that it actually clumped up -.- ... Could have affected the nitrate levels, I am not sure. Went to buy a cooling fan and a nitrate test kit (salifert) today. Nitrates now 25ppm from the previous 80ppm. Waiting to see if my temperature drops below 30 degrees with the cooling fan >
  18. Have been running for a week ... Nitrates now dropped from 160ppm to 25ppm (salifert test kit ^.^ ) Hopefully 0ppm by next wekk haha Hope this info helps .
  19. Nice ! Haha. Jealous > Still tackling high nitrate problem ~Sigh~. Planning to get a test kit this week end to see how the nitrates have fallen. Great tank
  20. Bump $20 still available pm if interested
  21. Haha ... I got some today and they died... I jumped the gun thinking that it was that I got unhealthy specimens ... My friend enlightened me saying that I made a mistake in using copper on the clownfish... Going to pasir ris farmway to get some tml > Thanks for all the offers
