Meaning you use plain rock and place it together with actual rocks taken from the sea...after some time the "seeded" rocks become encrusted with coraline as well as bacteria, sponges, etc...and becomes aquacultured live rock.

Say, would you guys be interested in aquacultured LR and how much would you be willing to fork out??

Guys, Sorry I havent got back to some of you, esp those that replied directly to this thread and not PM me. Here's the breakdown - 1 coral banded shrimp (he doesnt seem interested to feed...don't ask me why) - 1 large colony of brown zooanthids (augustine, if you want it, its yours, PM me please) - 1 piece of maiden hair algae( hopefully someone with MH lighting and chiller can accept this..Phang??) - 1 african clown (there were 4 not 3)...hope paperdoll takes this last one to rejoin the rest

Friend's tank broke down(literally!), got some stuff he passed to me and I would be willing to give them away or trade if you don't feel good about taking something for nothing... - 3 african clowns - 1 bicolor dottyback - 1 coral banded shrimp (boxing shrimp) - 1 flame clown (still considering if I should adopt him) - 1 brown polyp colony (big) - 1 small rock with hair maiden algae ( very nice algae, but I think need lots of light, preferably MH) - 1 piece of LR, maybe 8 to 10 inches in length, quite nice. HURRY NOW!

Guys, need your help here. I have a friend who just called me and told me that his tank has cracked and water has spilled all over the living room. He was just in time to save his fishes and some corals. I need someone who has some space to store some extra livestock for a while, hopefully someone who has an empty tank to help this friend of mine. My tank at 3ft is too small to house his 9 fishes. mv3i, If you are talking about topping up evaporated tank water with new salt water mixture - DON'T. Only water is evaporated and not the salt content, so if you do top up with NEW salt water mixture, it would make increase the salinity, which you certainly would not want to. Well, if you don't have kalk, just top up water...
