  3. Hi bro, when you say 3"does not receive enough light, do you mean 3" along the length of the tube? Stag formation means for e.g.: -------------------- -------------------- -------------------- -------------------- -------------------- -------------------- -------------------- -------------------- ??
  4. I am wondering along the same lines too, but I am contemplating about switching to T5s for my 30" by 30" tank and not sure how many tubes will be sufficient.
  5. Gary is a great guy! I would be camping for his SPS frags if not because the state of my current tank is not optimal for SPS.
  6. Just visited over the weekend. Here's a quick peek for those who haven't been there: The rest of the pics can be viewed here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dislocations/sets/72157632463265424/
  7. Good looking tank bro! Welcome back!
  8. Some photos taken recently: Some zoas: Bobianus Izuensis - has more than doubled its size since July 2012: A recent addition, Vroliki wrasse: Chevron: Another recent addition (top-down shot taken during wc):
  9. Thanks but nothing special really, the close ups were taken using a Sony dslr with a 100mm macro lens. Some other shots were taken using iPhone.
  10. Thanks bros for your compliments but am really not deserving of them- still struggling to taste my first success with SPS. Zorden bro, I remember you and can't wait to see your comeback.
  11. Like them too. But I think they have a relatively short lifespan and they don't ship very well.
  12. Sunday afternoon iPhone shots. Blueberry gorgonian - heard its challenging, so trying my best to keep it healthy. Kenya tree coral with Bodianus Izuensis. A shot of the " valley". An almost FTS.
  13. Hi bro! I bought a pack of this from CoCo tree at the basement of Tanglin mall about two weeks back.
  14. Welcome back bro! Will be watching this thread.
  15. Sorry to topic starter for "hijacking" this thread. Just a naive question here. My dkh seems constant at about 9.2 ( just tested). I am dosing TLF c-balance 2 parts for Ca and Carbonates and current dosing is 30 ml. For my tank volume, reef calculator tells me that I have to add 27.8 ml to increase dkh by 0.5. So if I want to REDUCE my dkh by 0.5 per day, does that mean I reduce my dosing of second part by 27.8ml? It just seems pretty drastic to me and the last time I did that, I ended up with a huge dkh swing, which is not a good thing. Any advice here?
  16. Thanks for the advice. Will try that. Running out of ideas already.
