  1. i placed some shredded seaweeds and pellets. probably get some market prawns tomorrow
  2. Not sure if I understand you correctly. I had the same problem and I stuck 2 pipes in
  3. just woke up to check. caught a glimpse of the worm head peeking out of the liverock. checked the trap.. caught what I believe is an cirolanid isopod about size of a flu pill. id it to be the same shape but two red patches on its belly. found at least 6 crabs. 3 of which I id as stone crab, still running about. also found an aiptasia anemone... never knew I have more anemone than 2x fire anemone. a few other harmless isopods running around and a tiny worm (could be isopod) will try to take pictures of the "things" i caught.
  4. Thanks bro. Though color is different but seems like it has 5 sharp "feelers" too. it could explain why some of my smaller fishes went mia and some of the smaller fish corpses were always in the same corner... Setup a coke bottle trap. Hope to catch it [emoji23]
  5. http://youtu.be/bkroIUfjRX0 video link
  6. Just woke up and saw a 1ft long black hairy worm. Mine is a 4ft fowlr tank. Please see pic (sorry my best shot before it wriggle into the rocks) What is this worm and will it harm any fishes? [emoji27]
  7. 1 cheap fan is enough to maintain temp between 27 to 29. I keep my tank by the window with sunshine.
  8. Unsalted roasted seaweed which u can buy at NTUC. When u feed, rub it in water so the seaweed softens and some small pieces will scatter around. This will entice the fishes to eat them. Learn from AM [emoji1]
  9. Water temperature makes difference
  10. By the way my fowlr tank salinity is 1.018 and fishes have no problem breathing. Live rocks are still alive. Certain tools u should not save as they r essential. I learn the hard way and I hope u dont.
  11. Bro hydrometer is inaccurate. Invest in a refractrometer. From my understanding fishes breath easier with lower salinity. Your salinity might be too high.
  12. TFC only open tomorrow or business as usual from tomorrow onwards?
  13. Bro CFOh, it seems similar to fire anemone. Any idea how I can remove it safely? Can I use a rubber glove and manually remove?
  14. Sorry I cant seem to take a better photo because of the depth. I had accidently rescape the rocks recently and it dissapeared. But now it reappears at the top of the rock works, seemingly trying to get near the led lights. So i believe it should be an anemone
  15. Try turning the tube at the side to adjust. It might help too. Good luck![emoji106]
  16. Mine is the curve 9. I didnt put it back in and just leave the cap at the side. Been running fine for 2 or 3 mths [emoji106]
  17. Bro if you have snails, dont get hermit crabs. Crabs will dig out those snails for their shells. Cleaning crew can get diamond goby to clean sand and get the super tongan nassarius snail for cleaning up leftover food. In fact these snails are so effective that I couldnt find the corpse of a couple of fishes even after removing all the rocks. It just vanished overnight.
  18. Bro I had the same issue initially. What works for me was i removed the red cap at the bottom of the skimmer to release the water pressure. Once u remove the cap. Make sure u increase the water level to just below its neck. Give it a couple of weeks to break in and everything should be fine.
  19. I think AM currently have quite a few small pieces. Call them to check
