i rather go for PL lights by dymax instead of the T5s.... also heard that the T5 not as good lor...

dun think so they are able to...they need white light to photosynthesis for some corals.... if you use only artinic lights, they may not open up to their max.... my 2 cents, gurus may have better advice

the two of them are now in a breeding net, in my sump....waiting for one of them to give birth,usually they give birth at night....going to feed them phytoplanton or zooplanton and see how lor.... so far they have given birth more than 8 times liaoz...

yup, the UV kills both good and bad bacteria tats why it is not advisable to keep in on all the time... one incident when my friend used the UV on his tank and the next day, most his LS died....so i also half half...

I am also using AZ-NO3 now....not bad, my NO3 level has been reduced...

hi gurus, recently i saw eggs under my two cleaner n always wonder why nvr see them hatch... then few nite ago i saw a lot of white dots floating around in my tank n saw these very small thingy wirrgling around n realise that they are baby cleaner shrimps, kicking alive!!! so last nite i spent 2 hours, caught them out n put them in a breeding net.... do u think it will work n will the babies survive if i feed them plankton? anyone can advise or got experience on this?

the overflowing of foam in the cup can be adjusted by the air valve... try adjusting it to a minimal level... jus my 2 cents

me too had a small bottle of trace elements in my bag of coralife salt...i'll just wix it direct into my tank when i pour in the salth mixture... just my 2 cents

does reefez carbon come with the bag?

i read tat it will remove toxin, purify water, not too sure if can reduce NO3.... so if i get reefez carbon plus, do i pour the whole thing into one compartment of my sump or put in in the bag then into the sump?
