a blessing in disguise? the recent offload of my equipment lead me to a higher upgrade instead. what's more to come i do not know. Initially i thought it is over. just a 2 cube tank for my little nemo =) but decided to go for one more big one instead. SPS tank ( barebottom )with just my clownfishes. DE diamond reflector with BLV 250 15kk Tunze multicontroller with 6000 + 6055 Deltec MCE 600 Deltec PF 501 Deltec FR 509 Artica 1/10 aquabee 3000 return. In time to come for the next new year. i hope to have something to show to u guys.

i am always a strong advocate of ME salt. high magnesium and quick dissolve

the dark area is probably some dirt trapped on top. if u see them trapped right at the bottom or midway of ur DSB, then, it might be hydrogen sulphide build-up. the brown stuff is probably diatoms. get a sand shifter and they will be of great value to keep the sandbed clean =)

hi bro, many reefers who come to my house often question me why my tank is not in the hall but in my room. Me too face the same prob as you as my daddy dun really like the idea of having a tank in the house. As for me, harmony is of great value and i sit down with them telling them that some of their views hurt me sometimes and i hope to get family support. Although they do not support me in term of financial and stuff like that, they stop their comment which is a millions improvement. And in time to come, when ur tank is up and ready, invite them to view ur marine creatures and appreciate the beauty of nature. Do not fall out with your family. Communicate with them. Remember! Harmony is of great value. Cherish them and respect them so that they will respect you too. It;s not easy but perservere on k.

Shifu! u are the one who bring me to SPS. anyway i think they are nice lah. but will do slowly and correctly. just bought a tunze 6055 as my wavemaker. thinking of 1) adding another 6055 plus multicontroller ( the cost is exorbitant but my preferred choice) 2) adding another tunze 6045. 3) adding a koralia 4 as the radial flow is very large . Any suggestion guys?
