i gotton my blue tang from jireh . though might be a little bit more expensive , the quality of the fishes are tip top . gotton mine two days ago , no ick, and was already feeding when i put my pellet inside.
just a location for u to consider
hey guys ,
as above ,
please pm mi the size , feeding habits and the price u are selling .
just in case u saw it in any farm or LFS , please tell mi too . thanks !!!
yup .. i was thinking of chemipure .feel that putting sponge is just too wasteful. thanks for the advice .
what's the difference btn the red biohome and white biohome. anyone can enlighten mi ??
hello all,
i am using a canister for my nano tank and thus i thought i can rely on chemical filtration and put it inside the canister.
any recommendation for chemical filtration . currently it's just sponge.
and how often do u cleaqn ur canister.
using eheim classic 2215 ,620l/hr for my nano.
thanks in advance.
i used to kanna it too ... the green hair algae all over the place .
quick and short term solution
1) get a dozen of snail . but the leave a trail of poo
2)manuelly pluck lor . a bit shag .
long term:
mainly is to combat nitrate and PO4. ur nitrate is okie , how about PO4?
maybe can reduce the photo period for the time being too .
i took like 2 weeks to get rid everything .
yup i know salt mixing initially will generate some heat ... usually i let my eden run for a day before switching it off. the chemical reaction cant last that long anyway .
just for ur information.
yup i think should be enough if u are just keeping 2 clownfishes and one cleaner shrimp.
in fact i think u dun really need one with such a bioload if u are prepare to have a water change once per week. but of cos a 5 dollars skimmer is better than nothing ya
used to have a 2 feet with overflowing sump + prizm + FUGE for filtration purposes . with DSB of 6 inches in my FUGE and main tank.
i did around 30% water change to keep my nitrate value in place with marine environment . used to keep coral mah.
now with a small nano tank , i intend to do a 20 % water change a week since i am only going to keep 2 fishes .
yes a overflow sump has a lot of advantage like increase of areation , no need for surface skimmer and increase in water volume.
a canister usually is nitrate factory as claimed.
oh haha...
okie 2215 cost mi 35 dollars
and the skimmer is 10 dollars .
tank and the light are left over from last time and the rocks are free from friendly sengkang reefer. wanted to pay a token but sunny refused to accept.
so total is only 45 dollars . of course some hidden cost like salt lah , this lah that lah .. plus minus 30%
