in the aquarium , special bateria reduce nitrate to nitrogen gas in a oxygen free environment by oxidising sulphur . as a result , sulphuric acid is produce . the outflow should be feed to area of high pH such as calcium reactor to netralise the acid. 1) the normal sulphur bead are employ in the sulphur denitrator . 2)not sure though 3) heard from reefer that nitrite might temporary rise during initial usage. NO3 is only one of the component to contribute to algae growth . other parameter that should be check is ur phosphate level as both of these is fertilizer to algae growth.

get the biggest deltec u can afford. sometime the branding matter because german dun use their reputation as a stake. good product that work wonder plus high resale value . local make product such as skimmer and calcium reactor is good IMO , but low resale value . chiller , resun is value for money of course other brand like RR, teco will be reliable . but i calculator , 3 resun CL280 spoil is equal to to one teco RA240. so i still go for resun . dun have deep pocket . warranty is important for expensive equipment , JBL artica chiller seem to have 2 years warranty . retail in our sponsor reef depot .

haiz... there is once my retromoonlight flicker, aquamarine gladly repair it . yes it is under warranty then. but i dun think it will cost a lot lah . since u are their supporter , i dun see why they dun help u

for my canister , i used rowasponge which is a combination of rowaphos and carbon in a sponge . one piece a week. reef depot retail it at 49 dollars for 5 pieces. 1.5kg of biohome ehich cost nearly 50 dollars . i think around 15 dollars for 300g. C328/petmart. some coarse fiter to filter out large debris . some claimed seachem denitrate works, but a flow flow rate must be accompany and employ. any eheim authorised dealer will have it . PURA nitratelock is another alternative to control nitrate as it can be regerated and used for approximate 2 years . Reef depot have it .

dun really know the frequency of them spawning but i am sure that they are constantly feeding to my fishes and coral . impossibel to have baby shrimps within the aquaria system , before the fish can eat it , some are in the filter already , they are so tiny . just like pods

come on , everybody is here to learn . not dumb lah . reef alkalinity should be maintain at 3-5meg/l or 8-14 dKH. alkalinity that fall below 2meq/l wll drastically affect coral health .

i think my cleaner shrimps just spawn . but tank are full of little dot and upon closer look , they have shape of a tiny weeny shrimp. the anthias if having a good time !

general usage , use the swing arm hydrometer for accurate usage , use refractometer dun use the floating one , very inaccurate

attribute to weekly water change and underdose of additive . only recently i learn that dosing of additive like puple up , phosbuster and az-no3 will lower alkalinity a lot .

tank is small. fishes must be small too . how i wish they will never grow big .

just added another seio 620 to complete my flow . haha... haiz , yup one of each kind till i added one school of 5 blue eye anthias into the tank . 9 fishes now . flame angel purple tang starkii damsel percula 5 blue eye anthias no more fishes for me!
