  1. if ur tank is less than 300l , go for MCE 300 , if not a MCE 600 will be great. biostar flotor is a quiet and efficient skimmer. the nano reefpack will be one great option for nano reefer =)
  2. upz . the suncoral is healthy, fat and meaty. definately a good buy and he sold at a lost !!!!!!
  3. yup letting the tank lie fellow for 2 months will ensure that all the ich parasite will be gone. well, i guess battling ich and algae is every reefer 's everyday affair so dun give up .
  4. yup his corals are very nice, especially the cynarina, prata and acan !
  5. surface skimmer remove a layer of oil/debris or scum from the surface of water by rechanneling the surface water to other places such as skimmer or canister. a skimmer employ air fractional distillation method to remove DOC within marine system.
  6. maybe he just forget to shave ... look cute though
  7. basically i only run my tank with skimmer without a filter. i think only jebo has the skimmer ###### filter equipment which is about 30 dollars not too sure) a great investment will be the prizm deluxe ( surface skimmer with media box) which is about 250 the aquamedic biostar flotor is a great skimmer for nano . very efficient and quiet and come with a rotary sponge for bacteria to cultured on. ( $350) tunze nano is a great skimmer at about 200. but i have no experience in using that. a plus as it is very thin. tunze nano reefpack. saw a few in aquamarine, u might wanna check out on that. look cool. and ya, i believe it come with filter/skimmer MCE 300 which is about 350 . saw the actual unit in action and was impressed by it's performance for a nano.
  8. i remember this piece from the iwarna shipment =) was very very eye catching when it arrive and ambystoma was wondering why no ones get this piece =)
  9. normally the reefer are as stressed as the coral when the corals dun do well if the reefer really care for the coral. but elegance is not a relatively easy coral. =)
  10. The Catalaphyllia Elegance Coral is a large polyp stony (LPS) often referred to as Elegant Coral, Wonder Coral, or Ridge Coral. It is truly the most unique and interesting stony coral known. Its polyps are extended during the day showing off its vast array of color-tipped tentacles. Under actinic lighting, the fluorescent qualities are beautiful with lime green, blue, orange, or purple-tipped tentacles which vary between branched or round and bulbous shapes. The most common color variety available to aquarists is gold with pink or purple-tipped polyps. The Catalaphyllia Elegance Coral is moderate to maintain in the reef aquarium and makes an excellent choice for the beginner to expert hobbyist. Provide ample space in the aquarium between it and other neighboring corals as it will expand to twice its usual size during the day and will sting other corals in close proximity to it. It is best to place the skeleton of the coral into a soft substrate. The soft substrate is less likely to irritate the fleshy underside of the coral when compared to the rockwork. Clownfish may accept this coral as its host if no anemone is present. Use caution when handling, as it is very fragile and can also sting its handler. Ideal reef aquarium conditions for the Elegance Coral should include moderate lighting with moderate water movement. For continued good health, it will also require the addition of calcium, strontium, and other trace elements to the water. It will benefit from additional food fed daily in the form of micro-plankton or brine shrimp. ---extracts from liveaquaria.com i remember telling u to put the elegance on sandbed mah =)
