  6. try to maintain ur magnesium at 1330-1500ppm. naturally ur kH will come down by it self, u might wanna do water change right now to bring it down to 10. i was thinking , if u are not keeping SPS, just let ur kH be. the rest of the water paramater is fine.
  7. i guess is a very small project haha for him at least .... and enjoying most of it i think ...
  8. Welcome to SRC =) Hope We can learn from each other in this hobby
  9. 1)Can u tell us a bit more on ur water parameter , Ca, Mg, pH, kH, nitrate and phosphate. 2)Your lighting and and wave maker employed ? a pic of ur tank will be good before anyone of us make any comment as SPS are usually more sensitive . Sometime they can even STN and RTN when ur water are in super great condition. They dun have a period of 2 months to white out, if ur water parameter is not suitable, theu usually show it quite fast .
  10. i believe it is uncommon for the tunze nano to give rattling sound. However, many user in RC including local report that their nanos rattle after a while as the impellor break . changing ur impellor will solve ur prob =)
  11. The Scolymia Button Coral is a large polyp stony (LPS) coral and also referred to as the Doughnut, Artichoke, or Disk Coral. It is a round, solitary coral, usually having a single ###### opening present in the center, however, multiple openings have been present in some species. The Scolymia Button Coral is found in many different mottled color forms of dark green, red, or brown with cup-, or saucer-, flat-, or dome-shaped variations. It is not an outwardly aggressive coral, but should be provided with plenty of space between itself and other corals because it can expand twice its size during the day. The Scolymia Button Coral is easy to maintain in the reef aquarium and in the wild, and is often found in association with Tridacna Clams. It makes an excellent choice for both the beginner and advanced reef aquarist. It requires moderate lighting combined with moderate water movement within the reef aquarium. For continued good health, it will also require the addition of calcium, strontium, and other trace elements to the water. Its feeding tentacles appear during the evening and while exposed, will feed on meaty foods such as micro-plankton or brine shrimp. -- from liveaquaria IMO, they do well in dead spot and benefit from target feeding. They will do well with wide range of lighitng but they tend to bleached with very strong light.
