It is easy to identify that your fishes and corals are sick. However it is not that simple to identify what sickness they really have and administer the correct treatment. For example, it is only recent that i know that fungus is extremely rare in marine and most of the time is lypo. And doing a search on the net, i find it impossible to find a pic with velvet. Could some of us donate or even search for pic and post in this thread so that we can help each other identify common or even not so common disease in fishes and coral. This thread is solely for education for all of us.

all the gadget are build for home purposes =) i just find that technology has improved ... FL-PL-T5&(MH)_LED i dunno where to find.. he told me those gadget is from the US... how true i am not too sure leh something i am very sure, superduper poweful.. no luxmeter, only my eyes as tester lah

what fish are you keeping? if u are keeping 5 damsel, dun bother... if u are keeping gems like joculator, helfrichi.. i would suggest u buy a deltec MCE 300 =) change water at least once a fornight will do IMO.... of course who would deny the fact that more water changes is good =) with protein skimmer, ur fish enjoy better water quality environment well-oxygenated environment stable pH ....

the air valve is to allow you to control the amount of air entering ur skimmer. to set it wet skim, normally reefr would allow maximum amount of air intake into the skimmer without overflowing. dry skim, set it at the skimmer neck. in some cases, it act as a silencer

to check whether ur water is yellowish, put some water in some testtube like those from salifert for testing water parameter and put it against a white paper. u will have ur ans whether ur water is yellowish =)

my friend is from LED company for those jewellery compary like meyson where they required good lighting to shine diamond , so ask him to try out some stuff for my home aquarium.... LED is seriously the way to go .

in my search to DIY LED, i found a lot interesting gadget... these LEB is really super powerful... for home use actually, but tested on my tank, really almost equivalent to MH minus the heat but super super powerful
