nvr used a 5000 shorty II before, but i used a small brother biostar flotor from aquamedic... it's performance is great. but i dun like their finish. Deltec has a more professional finish... but sometimes who really care abt the outlook as long as it work. i think both are rated 1500l and are needlewheel. if ur shorty is not giving u other prob, maybe not economicak to change... maybe a 702 will be a better option for u

depending on where is the shipment is from and where u get it from... normally the price ranges from 40-75 i gotton my emp from sealife at 55. blue face at 50 from beng. however at that point of time, i have no idea whether they are feeding and stable

eheim is one of the most reliable. i have a friend who is still using his classic after 15 years plus minus. i have used 2026, 2213, 2215 before ... best of it's kind, nvr leak, quiet and reliable. ranges from 80 all the way to 300

the skimmate is definatly not cleaned =) it looked normal... if u dun want to clean the skimmer cup so often, u have to tune the air valve to allow maximum air to go in without overflowing the cup. but that will depend the capability of the skimer as well.

i think the one in CF is more than 1k.. in LCK is 3 digit =)
