  1. You might wanna contact our sponsor like madpetz to ask them for the pricing or simply visit their website Again it can range from 200 to 1000... A good Deltec suitable for our size would be sc1455. About 500. A sump is a additional tank below the main display to aid in filtration. I suggest u visit member set up in the forum to see the idea of the sump. By right.. Your tank maker would have recommend it for u. Getting ad hoc sump with overflow box can be very unsightly in my opinion. Create extra space, vol to aid in filtration
  2. Petmart or Seaview. They are just nearer to my home haha.. microbe-lift special blend http://www.microbelift.com/
  3. microlift... but no need to waste money . this hobby can be financially draining heavy ... spend on gd and reliable equipment ...
  4. Ask yourself a few question before committing on the equipment. 1) what type of coral are you keeping, generally 3 types - SPS, LPS and softies... They have different light requirement and wave requirement. 2) How much budget are you looking at ? Seahorse is a difficult species and requirement specimen-ready tank as their diet and behaviour is different from other LS. The sump setup is the best in my opinion in the long run. Canister is a chore and nitrate factory. A top filter do a job well, but aesthetically not pleasing and may not be effective enough. Take time to read through the forum as the pro and cons of different filtration has being discussed extensively. What else do you need to get ... depend on your budget ... wavemakers return pump live sand dosing pump ph monitor temperature monitor chiller test kits fluidised reactor to remove phosphate the list nvr end i guess haha....
  5. no prob ... post pic in the member's section to share your set up ...
  6. yes ... your bacteria population has started to colonise on the surface...however it might not be enough if there is a sudden increase in the waste production, ie ammonia and nitrite...... start stocking slowly initially, and let the bacteria catch up at the same time and check every 3 days initially ... after that .... just do a check every 1-2 months... in fact after cycling, i dont check my ammonia and nitrite anymore
  7. I realize we have similar equipment setting ! Yes.... I'm excited too.... Buying stuff here and there even without tank
  8. A QT is still a better precaution against ich... hypo will have an impact in the skimmer efficiency copper is gd if u are very sure that you will only stay FOWLR. get a reliable copper test kit to test the concentration in the main tank. Once copper is introduce, it wil be absorbed into the LR and it will be quite diificult to go coral again. then again.. the scape is good for coral set up!
  9. 2 feet cube club. Mine is still making. Mid August

    WP 40

Bro, should be able to get a replacement and ensure that it work. Sometimes it is not the cost of the wavemaker. Its the cost of the livestock, the time spend, the effort collecting all the rarity and the lives of your fishes
