hihi reefers , er , can i target feed my corals like sunflower , brain or even hammer with silverfish?? is it necessary to target feed them .... if silverfish is not possible , what can be substututed ?? thanks guys and gals

did u measure the water salinity after a major water change ?? maybe it is not stable as yet ... i think a refractormeter is around 60-80 dollars

1 feet tank ?? dun think it is advisable boxfish leh ... i think they release toxin when threaten ... so let put it this way -- what if ur lobster decided to attack it and caused it to release toxin ??

i will advice u to put it below water surface ... last time my rainbar is above water and it create a lot of prob for mi and if i am not wrong as long as ur water surface is sufficiently agitated , and ur skimmer is doing well, the O2 level shold not be a prob or u see ur fishes like grasping for air ???

i dun target feed them ... and they are doing well in my tank ... just dose DT marinesnow something like that into the main tank

er , just dose KALK as the normal water top off loh ... that what i do ... didnt really do much leh ... er lighting a problem ?? oh ya , it only bloom that much after 6 month into the hobby like that

finally my diatom and cyano stage are finally over and my coralline (purple algae ) are growing and spreading well with my constant dose of KALK (reefz)... but it is like growing a bit too fast ... even my main tank front surface have bit and pieces of them ... it is nice but them a bit unsightly with it at the front panal.... how to control them by not spreading to the panal but just the rock ...not have to scrape them not and then ... consider it a blessing or nuisance haha??

might be interested in the tube how long have u been using the tube ??

hihi , yesterdae i witness the first time my sunflower coral open in the first two week ... thoiught it was dead initially ...just leave it there ... it was a beauty ya ... but i only witness it after two week and it open after my mh is swith off , like 2 am in the morning haiz ... because of soccer then i can enjoy the beauty has anyone successfully keep sunflower coral and it open in the morning(normal photoperiod )?? can share with mi ... currently place in shady area and high flow location ... cheers

yuo , read somewhere that sponge like shady places instead ... correct mi if i am wrong ... er , as for mh , i will advice u to get mh as it is the best lighting u can provide for ur tank in case u wanna keep light demanding coral or even clam later ....but with mh , u will need chiller .... t5 could be next alternative too ...

hihi reefer , i have a very nice sunflower coral but they only open up at night or when i on my blue actinic lighting ... which mean when i on my 12000k dymax it will start to close up ... they are near to my lighting ... is it normal ??
