yeah man ... just bought a surface skimmer for my prizm . now a deluxe version le . didnt know the skimmer become more effective when i feed the skimmer with the surface water . great info u had share with mi that time when we go farmmart . pic coming up soon . hee

if u read carefully on the instruction , i think they advice u to remove clam b4 dosing the medication , very likely ur clam had some reaction with the medication and died of stress due to the effect of the medication .

'clean white sand' , maybe u are referring to crush coral sand with different grade . no matter where u get it , even in sentosa , please wash it thoroughly to prevent dunno what from getting into ur tank. eg heavy metal?? u are try any good reputable shop like petmart to get it . maintaining the whiteness?? if water parameter like nitrate , silicate and phosphate is not in check , diatom and pesky algae may soon grow on the sandbed . try to read more on controlling on nitrate , phosphate and silicate in the forum .

i used to use 2 X 55 w matrix PL for my aquarium . one of the tube is dymax which is in 10k spectrum . seldom see it now . last seen in Pasir ris fish farm , the shop selling equipment , beside ah beng's. can try though.

hi to all , recently just added a auto water top up controller to my system , i just pre mix my kalk solution in my reservoir tank with a pump , will it lose it's effectiveness, eg, raise pH , raise calcium.. if the solution is store in the reservoir tank for a prolong period of time like 5 days? thanks to all
