upgraded to MCE 600 from aquamedic biostar flotor . a while ago the skimmer was noisy, but now it work like a quiet baby. the only ownside is the skimmer collection cup which is a bit small..

some update

no lah , just that a while ago my skimmer pump was very noisy and it affected my sleep. wanna switch off so that i can sleep well as my tank in my room. but i have solve my noisy skimmer prob. finally can sleep throguh the night yeah

just to help reefzzz. the pump is rated 2000l/hr with head at 1.6 m. really super new

we are wondering what when wrong too until we install it with aquabee 3000 and the full potential of the skimmer was revealed, so we concluded maybe aquabee 2000 is not compatible the funny thing is 1250 work perfectly fine on it with only 1200l/hr against 2000/hr.

anyone has comment ?

hey guys , do u think it is okie to swutch off the skimmer for a period of 8 hrs at night ?? i think the surface agitation create by my eheim 2026 and seio M1100 is still very turbulent. without switching off the skimmer, my room is like having a very BIG fly flying around at night !

hey guys, i was thinking of removing my eheim 2026 after upgrading my skimmer to MCE 600 . The reason i bought this canister is because i dun have a place for my phos removal media. but after talking to some reefer, i also realise my canister do really trap lotsa debris. will removal of canister have an adverse effect on my tank system ? also just found a FR which fit my tank nicely !reason to decom my canister is to redice maintainance effort. have 2 option. 1) keep the canister and be a slave to marine( anyway i am a slave already) 2) remove my canister and used the FR. please comment ... thanks
