wanna use fan too because of electricity bill. then at night switch on air con and switch off the fan haha. most of the time i feel that my fishes have better life than i do . no need to study, work or travel, and stay in air con tank all day LONG. simple play with each other and wait for food. was wondering where will the debris go if i remove my canister. will it get accumulated in the main tank ??!! or suck out by the skimmer ? i am not too worry about the bacteria in my canister because it is not my main bacteria house .

anyway my canister just contain some phos removal media and nitrate lock. no bacteria house such as biohome ...it is mainly media house.

initially i was asking whether is it okie to switch off skimmer for a period of 8hrs. after which i have solutions to silence the skimmer while visiting the webby. then cjh ask mi how i silence my skimmer. then i provide a website. using needlewheel. but it is really silence now. needlewheel skimmer will not surely create a lot of noise. sigh. no sump in cabinet to buffer the noise. yup i dont really like the idea of switching off skimmer too for fear that it might crash due to low oxygen. have read that some reefer's tank crash after their skimmer was off for a period of time
