it is a personally preference. i read a book written by julian Sprung and he joked that if anyone thinks that there is a problem doing water change with NSW, the guy should go and do a water change to the sea. as for mi i prefer to use my marine environment salt , which i find consistency in parameter. but might switch to tropic marine just to get the pail of course NSW might come with other stuff which we cant measure .

bro glim18, how is my bubble coral ! anyway i would advice u to go for a refractometer / salinity meter which is of comparable accuarcy. one time investment in refractometer and it will last for almost a lifetime for almost perfect accuracy.

bubble master is from ATI , the famous Number 1 .T5 lighting producer bubble King is from royal exclusive running on red dragon pump. the choice of skimmer is really up to ur preference. all are established brand and will do their job really really well. i will ask u to go for deltec as i am a deltec user and most probably jervis will tell u to go for BM. compare the spec produce by the manufacturer and the price too. talk to reef depot since they are carrying bubble king / deltec and spare part are easily available. talk to aquamarine or jervis for the performance of BM. for SPS, go straight for bubble king hahahaha

hi , the brown algae is most likely to be diatom. do a search in SRC and you can find various ways to control it. in the beginning, try to control your phosphate and nitrate level. silicate from tap water contribute to the growth of diatoms too.

think i need to sped like 70-90 for the magnesium.

i used it on my skimmer before . almost as good as new . anyway u cant add it into tank water with marinelife directly i believe. if ur tank is bare , of course ! Just wash the tank thoroughly before introducing lifestock ya . as for mi , after using it on my skimmer, i just wash it with tap water and reintro the equipment back into the tank .

haha... if i can maintain my tank at 0 nitrate and phosphate without skimmer , i would have tear down my skimmer already. ur mangrove is doing a lot of work. hey , how about i buy some air stone for u in exchange for ur schuran since air stone also improve dissolved oxygen.

this is not kent marine version, kennethk marine version haahha anyway is it okie for mi to use that as i dun put there permanently. no extra electri wiring and mess like that,. only put there when i need to dose kalk. realise kawk is the cheapest way to maintain calcium.
