  2. Hi For those using RODI water, do we still need to use anti chlorinator to de chlorinate the water ? After first run, I measure using TDS, it's 8ppm...so still can the water still be used ? Thanks

  6. Calcium about 430 Now kh down to like 10.8. Some corals still never open Erm yes I use tap water with salt mix. So I wonder just seawater is it good enough ? Of course, will add salt to increase the salinity But realized seawater has a much lower pH than salt mixed.
  7. Hi If let's say I use 100% seawater, will it be good for the corals ? Because now I'm using half seawater, half salt mixed ( never use RODI water), some of my corals never open up. PH around 8 Kh now at 14 Calcium ok Nitrate less than 5ppm Phosphate less than 0.25 Magnesium about 1400 Salinity 1.022 So what is the problem actually ?
  8. I'm using API proper pH 8.2 It says increases carbonate hardness kh to hold pH 8.2 I did a control test amid I found out increasing the pH will increase the kh as well Is there any product that can increase pH but will not alter the kh ?
  9. Ok I realized why it is high It's because I increase the pH using pH buffer. Yes now kh is reduced during water changes...but then I test pH again, pH dropped to like 7.8 ! If I increase the pH, the kh will increase again Anyone has come across this problem ? Or is there anyone with pH above 8 and yet kh is normal ?

  14. Hi , will increasing the pH also increase the kh value? I have been increasing the pH with some pH buffer, but realized that my kh value is far too high...so I wonder is there any relation? Because I use salt mix water, the pH tends to be low...so I have to increase the pH using pH buffer...but how come my kh value is still so high ? How do I reduce it? Thanks
  15. I think when buying corals, just check properly
