Swee la~! Your photography skills also solid solid already bro~!! Whats this btw???
-
I think hailea should be a better choice bro. It should take care of your pico easily, I have been using the hailea hs28 for my nano for almost 10 months. Another thing to take note is the efficiency of the chiller. I can say the utilities increase for my hs28 is negligible, but I'm not so sure about AL60.

Swee~! It depends on how well you can maintain the temperature of your tank and what u intend to keep bro.. but chiller is still a good investment to have, fan may cause high evaporation for your tank and you must monitor your water level daily. I use to run a cooling fan in the very beginning but i realised topping up 1 litre of water everyday is not gonna work out for me in the long run, salinity fluctuations is pretty dangerous too

Big and fat supersuns bro! I noticed you place them under some shade, do they do better under subdued lighting?

Thanks bro~! Hi bro, theres no specs available online for this new skimmer as it has not launched officially yet. Its using the messner pump this time round and its rated for aquariums up to 1200L, in terms of measurements its somewhere in between SM161 and SM201. If you need any other info, you can PM me. I will try my best to provide it to you

Very happy with how it is performing at the moment, keeping my fingers crossed for this Messner pump~! Yo bro, its still gonna be a mixed reef tank for me.. Im still keeping my precious acans, chalice and zoas Hopefully it stays this way for as long as possible~! Lol Its gonna be more work in the husbandry I do...

The skimmer produces very constant and fine bubbles

Hey bro~! 2 years will pass sooner than u know it! Your lps are looking great too

Doesnt look scary bro, no cause for alarm. You probably just had a spike in nutrients, get some media to control your nitrates if you are able to.. Algone or biospheres are good choices..

Species names of Designer sps
dinGdinG replied to linko's topic in SPS and Advanced Reefkeepers Forum
Yeap I agree bro, our flow will have a chance to alter the growth formation of our sps. That's what I was bringing up on. Joep gave a very good example of his monti cap, I myself have a red monti cap that decided to encrust rather than plate out to my annoyance lol. Identification is really an art to master. -

Good info bro~! Just curious, does the growth form you mentioned applies to wild colonies or aquacultured ones? My impression (from googling) is that growth form for aquacultured sps in our tanks varies due to the intensity of flow we apply in our tanks. Very strong flow leads to stumpy and thick growth and reasonable flow leads to thin and elongated growth. Just what I have read online but ive not experienced it myself as my tank is still new.. What if a acropora millepora experience a lower flow in our tanks? Will they turn out to be thin and elongated? Just for dicussion to enhance my limited knowlegde -
This has been my problem too. I have read that we cannot increase dkh and ca at the same time. We have to do it seperately. So for your situation, i am guessing your weekly water change has in a way increased your ca, thus affecting your kh? Perhaps to skip water change for 2 weeks, keep up with kh dosing at a safety level will help? Of coz skipping wc is risky as nutrients may raise during which. To counter it, we can reduce feeding and step up on dosing bacteria or other measures to keep nutrients low?
-
Noted. What happens after mg is stable? Dkh or ca first bro?
-
PM sent bro
-
hey bros, just a thought on the big 3 as mentioned. If a reef has been suffering low dkh, ca and mg for a few months, which one should we attempt to increase first in terms of dosing? Should we increase in this order? dkh, ca and lastly mg?

I see, care to share how isit working out for you so far? I heard about it quite often but not sure how solid is the performance of that LED lightset -
