  1. What i understand from the bros here, i think a majority of them grows their pods in their refugium which provides cover for the pods hiding in their cheatos or other algae.. Of which, its kinda impossible for us with nano tanks and no sump.. I am guessing they feed on algae bcause they only gather around the areas with algae in my tank.. I am also facing a weird situation now, my tank is full of pods at the moment and i have no clue where they come from.. No plans to keep a dragonet in the near future though because im pretty sure the pods population in my tank is not sustainable.. btw, is there really LFS in 东北??Maybe I can check it out when Im there~! LOL
  2. LOL, i had a long long long list of fishes to keep too. But it got lesser and lesser after much research on them and our nano tank size is rather limiting.. Add slowly and put in the less aggressive fishes first till the most aggressive, the website i gave you do indicate the temperament of all the fishes you plan to keep.. Its quite a good guide to let you plan better
  3. Hi bro IshDeOne, chiller will definitely consume more energy. If you wanna try out using a fan, i have a brand new spare fan to pass to you foc. Pm me if you are interested... cheers
  4. Hey bro! Nice pair of true perc you have, hope mine gets as fat as yours soon haha! Keep reefing~!
  5. Using a fan should be able to lower the temperature down by 2 degrees max, thats what i am having now.. like bro andtsg said, the evaporation is a killer, I am topping up close to 500ml of distilled water everyday (you can do the math).. try to put a marker for your desired water level so that you can watch out for it accurately.. Best thing is still get a chiller.. LOL
  6. Hi bro~! you may wanna swop out one of the dart fish.. i am also keeping just 1 after some reading online that they will fight hard for territories unless its a mated pair.. copied some info for you.. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+1636+173&pcatid=173 Im having a true perc pair too, they may just fight quite aggressively for less than a day before the smaller one will be submissive to the bigger one.. you will probably see the smaller one twitching quite often but its just normal mated pair behaviour.. Just sharing my little experience with you
  7. Zzzzzzz.... lesson learnt, always follow your own post regularly~!!! Hey bro chriscoral, please please can i have some? :heh:
  8. Awesome rock scape bro~! I can imagine it full of corals and fishes darting through the caves~!
  9. Noted bro bunster! Will let them grow more first! Haha
  10. Hi bro andtsg! Sorry for this noob question but how does hair on a crab signifies it to be a bad crab? Just curious....
  11. Thanks angel keeper! But just curious, how will one know if they already have a sustainable population of pods to start keeping dragonets? The pods are so tiny that i assume you will actually need thousands of them to keep just 1 dragonet..
  12. hmmm... looks kinda creepy though lol, but well if its gonna provide me a chance to keep dragonets than it must be a good thing~! haha
  13. New fish~~! Purple firefish from ML~!! I love the blur look it has.. Btw, i have been very bothered by tons of tiny white bugs crawling out at night to feed on the algae growing in my tank.. I ran a search online and understand that they are the so-called pods but I am not so sure though.. Any bros can help to verify?? Boxed them up in red for easy referencing... At least hundreds of them... Should i get rid of them?
  14. Are you refering to that dark purple spot in between the mushrooms?
  15. Nice zoas bro! If only mine open up as big as yours!
  16. Best Hammer I have seen so far, had the honour to view the real thing too~!
  17. Nice corals & Fishes bro!! Are your gobies peaceful together?? i researched on the net that they do fight sometimes to gain control of the areas they like, thats why i have been stopping myself from adding another goby into my tank!
  18. IMHO, I think 50ppm is very high... you had your tank for how long already?
  19. Yup that what exactly I am doing now while shifting my focus on my green gonio & zoas hahaha
  20. Yah Bro~! Start tank Thread~! We can share problems!!
  21. Well.. I am quite sure its more than that because I have shifted my mushrooms to a shady spot.. its really puzzling, some days its doing well and some days it is all wrinkled up..
  22. Nice fish bro~! he is supposed to get rid of all the pests if any i assume??
  23. Interesting... isit like pellets and you just leave it on the corals? I just started feeding my green jewel and zoas with reef roids this evening, the zoas closed up after i squirt abit on them.. the green jewel loved it and even the closed polyps opened up and extended out.. but you are right, its very messy with alot of particles floating in the tank.. Do update again if it is going great for you bro~!!
  24. OK noted. Will try it out again tonight~!!
