Actually i bought all the colouration of tubes to test out the combinations. I am currently using 1 x coral plus and 1 x aquablue special, blue spectrum will come mainly from my LED. Still trying out the different combinations though. Any recommendations? Looks like crap because u lazyyyyyyyyyyyy and busy with your clownfish breeeding businesssss... next time must call u towkay alr tio boh? lol

Hellooo dear reefers~! Been a while since i update my tank thread, been too occupied with enjoying my tank!! Spent the whole weekend for reefing and fixed up some new toys, just gonna share and post this DIY t5 set in addition to my Maxspect 120w for any bros wanting to DIY your own t5 set~! The basic parts needed, end caps, wiring, reflectors, ballast, etc etc easily available at a few lfs.. Here are some pictures on the completed DIY t5 set plugged in with a switch timer Its pretty straight forward after you get the wiring sorted out. Once fired up, all my corals showed their true colour... (meaning not as great as i thought, LED can be rather misleading, at least for me..) So hopefully my t5 can bring out more colours I am currently into reefing for about 6 months now, despite all the blah blah blah issues encountered, it has been great and nothing beats seeing growth and colours~!! Best sps growth in my tank has to be my favourite sunset mille 1st day.. 7 weeks later, fully encrusted on rock but PE shrank quite abit despite encrusting Some of my favourite sps frags.. This was brownish when i got it and slowly turning yellow with reddish polyps, no idea on its ID though.. Tenuis, no idea on exact ID but showing signs of nice colour.. LPS showing great growth too! My off colour rainbow acan with at least 8 baby heads haha My fav lps, Blastomussa~!! with also many many baby heads around it popping out My most treasured chalice, UFO chalice from uncle mike 1st day Now And finally my messy FTS, nowhere near completed.... Overall, it has been a great 6 months reefing and meeting lots of new friends and bros along the way Just keep reefing bros~!

Yes bro ah chris, in this particular case it is really bad and we should definitely share info to protect fellow reefers and eradicate proven shameless LFS.. I was just giving my comments on honouring our deal with honourable LFS, it keeps our relationship going and it definitely creates a pleasant reefing scene here.. How we want to honour our deal and nego with the LFS is another issue altogether, everyone should have their own ways and honourable LFS should be able or can come to a reasonable resolution at the end of the day..

I think to be fair to all LFS and not this particular LFS in question. I believe reservation on livestock is out of goodwill from the LFS owner. Reservation on livestock should definitely be honoured in many circumstances (eg, except when u reserved a goby and he presented you a clownfish) because LFS take the risk of keeping/reserving the livestock for us while we try our best to make time to collect the livestock as soon as we can. A very high risk if no deposit has been collected or requested due to good will from the LFS owner. Anything can happen to the livestock while its sitting in the tank waiting for collection and the LFS could have sold the livestock to other reefer before the livestock dies due to unforeseen/unknown reasons. We should honour our reservations on livestock with honourable LFS to experience a better reefing experience.. No offence to anyone or any case in particular. Just my thoughts on livestock reservation... Cheers~!

Bro, please throw away or donate your api test kits to charity. I know they are cheap, but they are pretty useless i would say... try buying a salifert to test your nirates and compare the results with your api immediately.. You will know what i mean after that.. Because I have been spending alot of my time sitting in front of my tank... plus i just got married, if you know what i mean........ Maybe I will squeeze in some time to update it before cny lol

Nowadays I spend most of my time just staring at my sps, anticipating any colour changes or any problems happening to them lol.. slowly giving up lps to make way for more sps.. The sps poison~!! imo, having good and consistant husbandary habits is all that it takes to succeed in reefing. So bro Filzan, you have to practise and find your own system in maintaining good parameters because our setups and habits are all different, diff equipment, diff media, diff livestock etc etc. There is no one size fits all method in reefing i believe..

before anything, please reconsider adding a blue damsel. Although i have not kept one before but many bad experiences with blue damsels can be found online. It will be almost impossible to add any mild tempered fishes in the future as the blue damsel will kick their assess because they are very territorial... Clowns are fine i guess, I myself have a pair. They are absolutely great to have... I dont recall my glaive being oily bro, lol. I think its because my set was very new when i got it. I got it when it was first launched. But i guess if the leds are working well then it should be fine as there is a 1 year warranty right? Your nirate level is still above ideal range to me, but maybe thats becoz you are still in the cycling stage. Try to hold your purchases untill u can get it down to 10 at least, i know its tough, we all have been there done that LOL Your next equipment upgrade has to be your skimmer bro, trust us, you will need it badly once your bioload is there Dont worry about the red mushrooms.. it will always be available in the lfs.. Btw, dont rule yourself out on having sps now.. the sps poison is very potent
