not really bcuz they are all very small size. Sohal n purple tang is smallest of the lot . Mostly 2-3 inches only as my tank is small.

No need to change . It's suppose to be a thin layer above very fine sand .

Most sump tanks are quite quiet . It depends on your first compartment which can be filter socks or wool n return pump . Most noisy sump is due to return pump . So far Eheim is good, Aquabee is not bad , Deltec is decent as well

I recall my filter socks from AM overflowing in less than 2-3 days which is scary. Have since change to the nylon type as well, 7 inches wide from Madpetz. So far so good.

Any other users face similar problem with the Jebao? Cuz I haven't set up mine yet. Also, for the Grotech ABC or 123, anyone dose directly from the bottle itself?

Iwarna still got 3 Atlantic blue tangs, 2 blackcap, lots of royal gamma, gobies, bennies, unusual fishes, queen angel, 1 huge cleaner shrimp. Pacific fish shipment just came in, the usual suspects . still got many sohal, purple tang, Midas etc from last week Red Sea

Bro why not use filter sock?

I have seen the skimmer in action , really a decent skimmer at a decent price. Prob my second choice after Deltec .
