  1. Infinity tank not easy to deaign. A lot of considerations to think about. Used to have one for my mini pond and have problem trying balance the tank such that water goes down evening from all edges. Gettig rid of debris in the infinity tank is another big issue altogether.
  2. Pods will find their own place in the tank. My glass have very few pods now. But I see my mandarin picking on the corners of rocks and holes. Guess there are pods there.
  3. Hmm .. my cleaner get super excited whenever it is feeding time. Especially when I feed flake. Sometimes it will even swims into the acrylic feeding column. Like what Xiggie mentioned, feed is still the best bet
  4. Hmm... Their shallow coral tank quite empty ( still or at least 20 pieces excluding clams) Think what's there are what remained from their previous coral shipment. Inverts wise Got some Electric scallops. Damn cool.. Can see the electric shocks light up. Think there's Sea hare there too. But it's hugeeee.
  5. Haha! Bro .. Sometimes u for to be careful what u ask for. Anyways .. Just leave it. Ugly also never mind. My painful lesson is that when I clean away the easy to clean algae, the hard to clean one start to grow on the cleaned glass. That's when big problem happens.
  6. PowderTang, It's been 2 weeks since the starfish was added to the tank. So far so good, even times where I notice it in weird tight corners, somehow the next moment it would be somewhere else looking healthy as before. Temperature have been constant between 25-26 degrees. Ammonia and Nitrite zero. Nitrate is 5-10. Ph at 8.2. Have not tested any other parameters. Let me know if u need any in specific so I can go measure it.
  7. Ups for the start of the school holidays
  8. Was at AM earlier. They have: - lots of common clowns of various sizes - a few true peculars - a basket full of small blue tang - quite a handful of peppermint shrimps - lots of firefishes - a big maroon clown
  9. We had a company providing training for the robotics CCA in schools. The company is still running but I have passed on my shares to one of the younger ones.
  10. Sis, I'm interested. How big is it when fully opened?
  11. I thought I saw someone letting go a flame hawk in market place not too long ago
  12. Yups I agree. Better too find out than not to at all. Keep us updated
  13. U mean the inner branches? It does look pretty white to me. My guess would be the lack of light penetration ba. It is pretty deep in afterall and looks like it's been white for sometime.
  14. Bro Jiayous! And pray that everything will be ok.
  15. Must go check out that GSP wall while there too!
  16. Bro, ur rockscape is simply amazing! And it comes with a matching spanking new tank top.
  17. Having a hobby turned into an income is always a good thing, having been there myself once. But the journey is tough, especially so if there are no other sources of income. But the experience and lessons learnt can never be bought with any amount of cash.
  18. Hmm.. Bro.. Why the decision? Biopellets will be helpful for your tank in the long run.
  19. Bump! There have been many asking about my best price. And since I have offered it to those who have PMed me, it's only right that I offer it to everyone else too. So here it goes, Iceprobe and Tempt controller ATC 800+ : $180 Both items are secondhand and I paid $120 for the Iceprobe and $55 for the temp controller. Although these adds up to only $175, I have since changed the Iceprobe's fan to a brandnew silent PC fan purchased at Simlim Square and also rewired all wirings on both the Iceprobe and Temp controller to ensure that their connection stays strong and short circuits won't happen. All rewiring are done by crimping without soldering, allowing for a stronger and more insulated joint. For just $5 more than what I paid, you will get a refurbished (cleaned and looking spanking new) set of Icepobe (in water for 1 month max) and temperature controller (in use for 1 week). Both have just been plugged off my system and cleaned again. Reason for sale: Upgraded to an Arctica 1/10 chiller as the iceprobe is too small for my tank. To those who are interested, the Iceprobe's maximum capacity is on a tank no bigger then 30L and will have the ability to bring temperature down to at least 2 degrees below room's temperature. For those running nano/pico IOS tanks, this Iceprobe fits nicely on top of any of your IOS compartments and comes bundled with a FOC piece of glass meant to protect the Iceprobe's electronics from water spray.
  20. Cool! Didn't know that they close when multiplying
  21. For the past 5 days, are the Zoas always closed or were there times it opens? Mine have been in the tank for 2 weeks and they still close up tightly at night, only opening during the day. Same for my mushrooms.
