Just to answer your query, it will definitely trap detritus if there's no current in there... More or less, there will be detritus... Then again, rocks will also trap detritus... As long as you have a good system to get rid of nitrate and phosphate, there should be no worries... Cheers!

My tank is like a whirlpool now... Dead spots is the least of my concerns... LOL!

Hideaki, it works as the name suggests... Daily dosing... I find that kind of a hassle but it does bring down both nitrate and phosphate pretty fast... Good for emergency use, I guess...
