Just search Baby Brine Shrimp (with free international shipping) on Ebay. They are repackaged 50g packs. Cysts originate from Utah salt lakes. These seem to have good hatch rates. Sent you a PM

Managed to get the calcium reactor drip rate properly controlled. Parameters have been holding steady for the past 2 weeks. Calcium ~440, Magnesium ~ 1440, Alkalinity ~ 7 Did you correct the levels first before letting the CR 'take over'? (i.e bring it up to the required level with Magnesium chloride/sulphate)

Yours is the medium pellets version. Medium should be OK for damsels & clowns...but again, it depends on the size of your fishes. TDO is a good brand. There is a small pellet version available. Other popular brands Ocean Nutrition Formula One & Formula Two or perhaps New Life Spectrum Thera A.

Generally brittle star are beneficial as they eat detritus. Only the green ones are to be avoided as they are known to be aggressive & eat fish. The beige/brown/gray types are OK. Folks may say its a 'pest' because they can multiply to alarming numbers.

Coral dips are generally come in small bottles & expensive. Not economical to dip larger rocks. Many of these creepy crawlies are in fact beneficial & feed on leftover food.

A freshwater dip is one way but typically not 'harsh' enough. Suggest to remove the AC

Its a waste to use carbon during the cycling process. Carbon absorbs organics (eg. humic substances which make the water brown, carbohydrates etc) and chemicals. You probably want the organics in the water as a food source for the bacteria which is part of the cycling process. During the cycling process, as others mentioned above, - Add an ammonia source (eg. market prawn) - Turn off the following as its not required during the cycling period - chiller (no benefit since you don't have corals in there), light (switching it on only encourage algae growth), skimmer (you want the organic waste to feed the bacteria) - No need to dose anything else. Just wait patiently & monitor ammonia/nitrite/nitrate levels

Thought that most folks usually just have the return inlet into the filter sock (its dirty in there). Chiller one is nearest the inlet of the return pump so it goes straight back to the tank (best efficiency) Reactor outlet is usually placed near the skimmer (for re-circulation). Putting the 'clean' water outlet from the chiller & reactor through the sock will 'dirty' it again.

I use tank water to rinse the bio media (placed in bag) once a month as part of water change regime. Same for marine pure block. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I used it for a couple of days. I agree with redsuns. ....more precise than the skimz probe holder screw or the original John Guest valve.

Your tank is 6 x 2.5 x 1.5ft = 134 gallon = 510L correct? There is a Skimz overflow box that supports this volume. http://skimz.sg/index.php?route=product/product&path=59&product_id=74 It won't fit if you have any form of bracing at the top of the tank. I'm using this for my 3 feet but using only 1 of the drain pipes (comes with 2).

I typically make a few extra liters of salt water as standby during my weekly water change. I'm using this for the brine shrimp. This also helps keep the salinity the same. I would not advise recycling the water to maximize brine shrimp hatch rate/quality. Anyway, this hatchery uses so little water anyway.
