Can anyone give advice on what type of plants or algae i should keep for a refugium (i plan to add a few liverocks and deep sandbed miracle mud plus sand combi). I read that the main purpose of refugium is to keep phosphate level low. (What else can it do?)

I have a old chiller that used to run on a freshwater shrimp tank, model is teco RA240 (ancient model seriously), used for abt 2 years, is it advisable to use it for the marine tank I'm about to set up? (Idk if the heat exchanger is titanium or not, hence rust could form and affect the tank)

I plan to set up a 2ft cube (50cm depth) marine tank (im buying from bro kelvin81), so I was wondering if an AI hydra 52 would be an overkill. (Other alternatives i would want to look at is hydra, vega (which bro kelvin81 is currently using) or max razor r420 120w) what would be the best choice?
