I did my water change without any equipment. What I do is just put salt and anti chlorine and pump into my tank. And all doing find. I have been doing this for 3 months. Even with quarantine tanks. Algae will grow in 2 to 3 days but I just scrum them off. I AM USING FOR FOWLR TANK SO I DON'T KNOW FOR CORALS.
