Thanks for sharing. Fortunately, my seahares seem to be doing their job well so far. So no need to increase salinity. But though my phosphate is abt 0.03-0.05ppm and nitrate is undetectable, algae is still growing. Most likely my liverocks are leeching nutrients. Looks like I am facing a long battle...

Oops... i got lots of snails... but also lots of algae to feed them. Not sure shd I be happy about this situation or not. Lol

Update on seahare - not sure if those in my tank are bryopsis, but seahares are definitely feasting on those hairy algae.[emoji7]

After so many days, I still can't be sure the seahares are eating the bryopsis or hair algae. Although these nuisance algae are visibly much lesser, I have not witnessed them clearing the algae. And I started dosing biodigest from the same day I put in the seahares, so really not sure if the reduction of nuisance algae is result of seahares or biodigest. [emoji28]

3 days after adding the seahares, although I see them munching around, but really don't know what they are eating. Because I still see those hairy algae in their paths. [emoji28] Will update here again if I see them attacking the hairy algae.

But yellow tangs will grow big quite fast also, right? And are yellow tangs aggressive towards other tangs or fishes?

But unfortunately, due to work and family commitments, and lack of huge containers for large volume of new salt water, I have to do smaller volume change with higher frequency. I did an approximate calculation, by the end of this month, I would have changed approximately 75% of the tank water. That is after a total of 14 water changes over a 2-month period. Challenge is whether I can persevere till end of this month! [emoji28]

Yah, bryopsis is nasty. Got some seahares. According to FuEl, seahare eats bryopsis. Hope they can help me get rid of those nuisance algae.

Blank tank, i suspect my rocks and sand are leeching nutrients. I have been doing 10% water change, twice every week for the past month. I.e. 20% per week. Thinking of doing this for the rest of this month and by then, I should have changed about 75% of my total tank volume. Would this be ok?

Regarding point 13, is there a guide as to how many fishes are recommended for a specific size of tank? Say, my tank is 4x1.5x2.5, what is the recommended max number of fishes I should have without risking overloading?
