What say you abt the article in Sunday TimesPg8

haha... from what i read.... it sounds like a wet/dry filtration system... (isnt it already been invented veri long time ago?)... and the end product is nitrate.... not nitrogen.... therefore, it is JUST a wet/dry system that uses bioballs... dun see wat is so special bout the system... -
Dear Hammy, Nitrates are often caused by overstocking or overfeeding. i hav onli 3 small fishes n corals do not contribute much to the nitrate level.... r u like having more fishes? it will contribute to ur nitrate loh. another thing might be due to overfeeding, as in overfeed ur fish/corals.... i do not feed my softies specifically.... my recommendation wld be to hav a strong skimmer removes organic wastes before they become nitrate... tink my biweekly 20% water change helps too

thanx for the compliments! the arrangements actually gave me a big headache everytime i bought a new coral hmm... nitrate level long time din test.... tink not on the high side as my algae seem to disappear slowly, tink the DSB is turning operational loh as for the lighting, the hood is already packed with 2 tubes liao... no money to add another hood of T5s now leh... maybe some time later lah
