Clownfish are protandrous hermaphrodites. They are hatched as sexually immature fish. Based on signals from their environment and being physically mature (12-24 months) they will either remain sexually immature, change into a male or change into a male then female. This is a one way trip, sexless to male never to be sexless again and male to female never to be male again. How to pair a clown fish Grow out Purchased two juvenile clownfish of your choice at the same time and introduced into the tank at the same time. The fish will establish a dominate submissive relationship as they mature and eventually form a pair bond. This technique works the vast majority of the time except for the maroons... Believe it or not, the female are the dominant ones!!! Notes: Since the fish are going to fight and/or chase each other to establish who is the dominate fish and who is the submissive fish, it will often speed the pairing process and reduce fighting and potential damage to the fish by getting one of the two juveniles larger than the other. Signs that u have a pairing clown fish There are a couple of signs that a pair bond has formed and is maturing in your clownfish in addition to submissive behavior. Typically mated pairs (pairs that have a pair bond) will sleep in the same area. They will also host in the same host or stay in the same territory if there is no natural host present. The two fish will stay close to each other the vast majority of the time.

Mine just need low water flow and good lightings.. Seems to be just fine...feed liquid food twice a week...salinity 1.023-1.025 smtimes 1.026 they can also take it for quite a while...
-
Liquid food twice a week would be suffice...but target feed with mysis will keep them fat... There's just a alil problem for me coz my fishes will eat the shrimps up before the lobos gets to eat

I have experiemented with plates and brains before...i would say that if prefers to be on the sand bed instead on being on top of a live rock

I place my on sands too...seems to like it more than putting it high up on the tank

A protein skimmer used to remove unwanted organics such as food and waste particles. It is most commonly used in commercial applications like municipal water treatment facilities & public aquariums. Smaller protein skimmers are also used for filtration of home aquariums. Protein skimming removes certain organic compounds, including proteins and amino acid found in food particles. These molecules are called amphiphatic or amphiphilic. Commercial protein skimmers work by generating a large air/water interface, specifically by injecting large numbers of bubbles into the water column. In general, the smaller the bubbles the more effective the protein skimming is because the surface area of small bubbles occupying the same volume is much greater than the same volume of larger bubble. This is very important as these amphipathic organic molecules will begin to collect on the bubble surface. So what's are the ingredient to make up that greenish yellow soup? there are a number of other organic and inorganic molecules that are typically removed. These include a variety of fats, fatty acids, carbohydrates, metals such as copper and trace elements such as iodine Alternative forms of skimmer have recently come into use, including the algae scrubber, which leaves food particles in the water for corals and small fish to consume, but removes the noxious compounds including ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and phosphate that protein skimmers do not remove.
