i use to have this problem when i first started out this hobby.
it dies every time i do water change. found out it is sensitive to nitrate spikes and have problem acclimatizing
yeah...some mandarins are just so stuborn they would rather starve to death.
i've never tried to pair them before...but intend to get another one soon.
bought them both together at the same time about 2-3 months ago...they are eating and playing well with each other..
fed brine shrimp and green algae..
- if you have a maroon/ golden maroon, i would not advise you to add any clown fish to your tank.
- you can try to buy the same species of clowns and keep it separated first for two days, feed your existing clown heartily and have a big anemone to house both clowns.

if your tank has a reef setup, it should be able to adapt well in the tank.
i bought 2 when i first purchase them, 1 big 1 small. the bigger one entice the smaller one to eat. feed them brine shrimps and mysis,.

i kept a copperband before, was not nipping on my corals but my feather dusters went bald...!!!
note to reefers, it u intend to keep a copper band please feed it regularly...
