  1. Hi bros, just discovered that my two tangs have ich and I'm having problems catching them out to treat in my qt, as they are very quick to hide in the live rock (I have inverts and coral so definitely need to catch out to treat). Anyone has any tips on how to make catching them out easier? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. Haha I think so too! However I guess the benefit of berghia nudis is that their small size enables them to crawl into crevices and literally nip the aiptasia problem in the bud. Apparently they don't harm coral and population is controlled by aiptasia availability. Sounds too good to be true? Anyone with experience to share? $35 for one tiny nudi (1cm) seems very ex....!!! Also if no aiptasia they will die off and have to be replaced in the future if need be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Haha I think that was me. Thanks for the update! I actually just bought a hi fin goby instead, also comes with pistol shrimp... (: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Thanks bros for all your comments (: Yes, I also agree the light spread does not cover the full length of the tank ): Initially was debating if should get 2x 160w maxspect or 1x 300w, but went for the single 300w in the end, due to the overhead structures (not shown) which complicates the hanging of two units. Right now I guess I will just concentrate my coral placement to the centre, since the tank is mainly front-viewing. Probably next time will consider getting another set of lights, when I have more coral... Just wondering however, based on your experience do you think my lights are sufficient to grow some beginners sps like Montipora and Seriatopora (Birdsnest) in the centre? 12. I recently saw berghia nudi being sold at New Trio. I think one is $35... I felt it was quite pricey so didn't buy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. I got my 6ft whole set (tank/sump/lights/skimmer/liverock/seawater etc without chiller/tank cabinet) for around 5k? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Where can I get berghia nudis? Just wondering if the population is self-limiting based on availability of aiptasia... Will it get out of control and become a nuisance? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. So exciting! Best of luck!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. If I'm not wrong, I think if you intend to top up water that is lost during evaporation it is recommended to use RO/DI water. Because only the water evaporates (and needs to be replaced), while the dissolved salts remain behind. If you top up with salt water it will increase the salinity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Currently I have a 4-inch yellow tang, and I just bought a 3-inch sailfin tang and a 2-inch blue tang. I am keeping both the sailfin and blue tang together in a breeding box inside my display tank. They are getting along very well and also feeding well. However, I am quite worried that the yellow tang will bully the blue tang when I release it eventually, because it is so small... Any advice on when and how I should release it? Also, sometimes I see the blue tang lying against the wall of the breeding box, and I am wondering if the current is too strong. Is it normal for it to "rest" once in a while? Or is that a sign that it is very stressed? It looks okay otherwise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  22. Maybe can give New Trio Fisheries a call to check. They had a few types of designer clownfish when I went about a week again. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
