anyone knows the recommended retail price of the following two books, if purchased locally (or if someone were to buy in Singapore): 1) Marine Fishes 500+ Essential-to-Know Aquarium Species by Scott W. Michael ; 2) Aquarium Corals - Selection, Husbandry and Natural History by Eric H. Borneman.

from the factors u mentioned, looks like purchase cost (price) is not a real issue?? otherewise, u may want to tell reefers your budget to suit.

folks, this is corporate game play. between ESS and Starhub, they will "negotiate" and play out their game. presumably they will come to an amicable solution, so called in the best interest of their subscribers (i.e. ourselves). then, if not immediate, but in the near future, the increased costs must be channeled back to the subscribers. again, a whole bunch of reasons will be given to justify the increase. but by then, the heat would have worn off, and subcribers forgotten the crap and hurt. should we play their game ? can we go cold turkey ? can we strike back ? UNSUBCRIBE ???

i agree ... no religion.

personally, i have no experience in bracing, either to add or remove. but have this piece of advice to give, with due consideration to the consequences. "Don't fix it, unless it is broken". So, if after your modifications, and its broken, what are the consequences ?

sure .... live telecast at 5.00 pm let's start a rumour .... if Singapore gets a silver, then public holiday on a Sunday. when (not IF) jia wei gets a gold, then a real public holiday. the ball is in your court, Mr. President and Mr. PM. cheers for jia wei and Singapore. you have brought us thus far, let's run the last lap together. dedicate this win to our ex-PM Goh who coined the phrase of running the last lap together.

where is the subscription page on the web link ? can anyone point it to me please. thanks.

i am using a JBL test kit also. cannot recall right now, but i believe you have to multiply the number of test droplets by a certain numeral to obtain the Ca reading. just make sure you re-read the instructions again. my $0.02

What kind of water specs is consider stable?
Nautical replied to yvettegirl's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
go to PetMart and ask for a handy chart printed by Tropic Marine which gives all the optimal water parameters for PH, KH, Ca, etc etc. It is given free. may be other lfs have such a chart or something similar.
