  1. Hi, sorry but this is my colleague's tank so I'm not sure about the full dimension but should be 8mm thick with euro bracing. Regards
  2. Hi all, I have a 2nd hand 4ft tank for sale, w/o stand but with a FL light hood. Selling at $50 neg. Interested pls sms me at 9155 0187 Thanks
  3. Hi all, One suggestion for the worry of water overflow through back flow is to make sure the any outlet from pumps be near the surface of the water. So whenever there's a failure, the backflow will stop when the outlet pipe is above the water level. half cent worth.
  4. Hi all, thanks a lot for the advises, will not add anything to increase the bio load for now. Thanks
  5. Hi all, Thanks, I will take note of not over loading the tank. FYI, my purple tang is rather small and so far it is fine. As for the gonipora, it's already in the tank for almost 9 months and it's also fine. the only unfortunate thing is that initially I placed it very near to a bubble and a small patch was stung by the bubble. I'm feeding the corals with Marine deluxe, Kent phytoplex and microVert and using Coral Accel daily also. So far the sun corals open every morning when I feed and in the night when my lights are off. FYI, I'm having a DIY 2 ft sump with full tank of water so this maybe the reason of not overloading yet??? Just asking for advise on this also as I'm having mixed answers on whether the sump tank water will constitute to the total water volume. I'm using a Macro PS. Thanks and regards
  6. Hi all, thanks for the reply so far. Mine is actually a reef tank with 4 fishes in it, namely the flame angel, 1 PT, 1 garma and 1 name unknown. Corals wise I have 4 bubbles, 2 hammers, 1 octopus, 1 jewel, 1 gonipora, 2 clams, 3 red coco worms, 2 star polyps, 2 sun corals and 2 plate corals. The tank is about 1 year old. The latest fish I put in is the PT and it is already more than half a year already, the flame angel is 1 or 2 months earlier than the PT. Corals wise, 2 of the red coco worms are the latest occupants, about 2 weeks, the rest of the corals are between about 1 year to 2 months old in my tank. So far all are doing fine. So I would like to check if my tank is over loaded? since you mentioned that I should not out more than 2 fishes... Please advise. Thanks
  7. Hi to all, I have a flame angel an some other fishes in my 2.5 ft tank, saw some yellow angel at pac marine yesterday. Intend to add but don't know will they fight. Please advise Thanks

    Cars?

Definitely, in fact I have an impression that after those ppl know that I drive they are more reluctant to give discount!!! Anyway, it's much more convenient to drive if you are into this hobby cos there are places that its difficult to access to by public transport and when you buy heavy things also easier, like sea water.

    Cars?

Congratulations to you, can move around more often with the new car to buy LS already. But the disadvantage will be no more discounts if the they see you driving new car huh. Joking lah. Regards

    Cars?

Just a thought, don't be too impulsive in getting cars just becos of the new loan structure, it may sound attractive for a start but it is actually a high loan. It makes it easy for us to buy a car but it will take a much longer time to 'break even' between your loan amount and the car resale value. In another word, if you want to sell your car before it actually 'breaks even' you have to pay up the balance. (And it probably takes at least 4 years for high loan, depending on the amount and interest etc.) So you actually have to 'pay' to sell your car. Just a thought.
  11. Thanks for your info. Ya, I think the gamma will be the 1st casualty, in that case I will most likely abandon the idea as this will be very cruel, its like murdering, knowing that the lionfish will eat the gamma and still put it in is as good as commiting a murder. Thanks
  12. For info, I saw a lot if lionfish at Pac Marine also, different sizes, Big : $12 - $15 (I think) Small : $8 - $10 (I'm sure) I'm actually contemplating putting 1 small (dwarf) lionfish into my reef tank with 4 other fishes (1 purple tang, 1 flame angel, 1 gamma & 1 forget the name fish), against advise from a few ppl, saying that the lionfish will eat the other fishes, but I saw 2 big lionfish at Reef Aquarius together with many other fishes in its display tank and all are ok. According to Derrick (boss of Reef Aquarius), he said he did it by NOT feeding any live food, instead feed the lionfish with dead prawn/fish etc. In time to come, the lionfish will be used to eating dead food and will not bother those which are alive. Any comments on that? I would like to hear from you so that I can decide on whether to try putting in a lionfish or not. Thanks
  13. I think Pacific Marine sell this food at $6 per pac.
