Hi all ! My 120watt dimmable LEDs from china came in already but i realise that i have no idea on how i should mount these LEDs.. I've read other forums and some of them hang them directly from the ceiling but this is not an option for me as my ceilings above my tank is really high. Any bro out there that has a suggestion on how i should mount them ? Im thinking of just putting a piece of acrylic across my tank to act as a base for my LEDs but im afraid it might affect the par readings of the LEDs //

Hi reefers , So I've recently come across this product on madpetz http://www.madpetz.com.sg//index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=&products_id=375 According to them , its activated granular carbon which is use as a pre filter for RO/DI units .(25dollars for 5litres) And then there's http://www.madpetz.com.sg//index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=&products_id=176 which costs 86 dollars for 4 litres. Both are activated carbon am I right ? So why is there such a big price difference? Is it because of the high phosphorus content in the first product?

Hey guys , this is my first large sized aquarium haha ! It came in on Monday , 05/12/14 When it first came in... There were some water stains and algae spots so i decided to clean it with vinegar and washing it a few times . Sadly though , as this is a 2nd hand tank the glass had numerous scratches but ... mehhh The tankset also comes with life sand and live rock (I think their dead by now) So after many hours of washing ... such a mess... But it was worthwhile... These are not permanent lights though .... Im planning to get this one As for equipments , im using a sunsun return pump and a bubble magus curve 7 protein skimmer. Will be getting a dosing pump and a Hailea HC-500A soon .. That aside , I did encounter some issues with the tank , other than the scratches , the overflow drainpipe's silicone was wearing off and was leaking . Unfortunately , I've already filled up the tank , ( didn't notice the leak ) with salt water ... Lucky thing is , the leak flows directly into my sump tank , but im afraid the silicone might one day give way and .. boom flooding in the house ... DId anyone encounter this problem and manage to solve it ? If so please do teach me XD
