Hey guys , I just got a radioactive birdnest from a local reefer around 2 weeks ago , The skeleton of the birdnest was supposed to be pinkish in colour but it seems a little white to me , even the polyps , under white light appears to be a little colourless , and isn't that intense unless I look very closely at it. However, the polyp extension is pretty good . Wondering if this could be due to my LED lightings and its placement ( It at the top of my rock structure) . Under blue lights , however , the polyps give off a very intense green colouration . Also , I'm noticing some tissue lost at certain areas. My parameters seems to be ok , im currently feeding it aquapharm's 5 in 1 plankton daily and also started the NOPOX scheme yesterday. The filtration for my tank is a bubble magus curve 7 , rowaphos in a phosban 150 and biopellets in a enductor fr-30

Hmmm okay , will consider adding an additional WP-40 and a twin controller to my system.

Hi everyone! Just wondering how do you guys read the results of test... Im certainly not colour-blind and im pretty sure my phosphates are a little high. To me the solution seems colourless , which indicates that the phosphate level is at 0ppm , but seeing the algae growth on my rocks and the glass , im not convinced .. Thanks

Hi guys , just wondering which combination of wave makers would be good for a SPS / LPS tank . I currently have a jebao wp40 and im think of replacing it with 2 RW-8s . Just wondering if it would be strong enough for a SPS/LPS tank. By the way , my tank is 4ft x 2ft x 2ft

Well , I did manage to get some sps corals from a fellow reefer but theres still lots of space in my tank haha ! Well im looking for cheap frags or if you have it free ill be glad to take it from you! I had lots of LPS in the past so Im now starting to venture into the realm of SPS

Nope. Im not sure why its so high either , I've always encountered high calcium levels in my tanks, last time my 30gallon tank had a similar calcium level , but the corals were doing fine. So maybe its a bad batch of test kits? But that being said , i use both api and salifert to test the water and they both showed high calcium readings .

I did some water changes with (Diamond energy water) I don't currently have a Ro/DI unit http://www.diamond.com.sg/productbenefit.html Supposedly , its a water purifier for consumption purposes , not sure if this is ok for reef aquarium http://diamondsingaporemarketing.com/diamond-plus/ I brought down my SG from 1.026 to 1.024 Im actually using the Salifert test kits , needs more than 1ml of reagent to change colour My alkalinity is 8 ( salifert as well )

Its for my 30gallon tank haha , about 6months old ler , will transfer to my 120gallon after all the diatoms die out and my dosing unit comes in
