I Think You Better be getting a chiller..some deepwater species need cool water,,but generally anything under 30degress in acceptable..but better cooler water for certain species...

I Prefer To Use Good Old LR..Perfect spot for bacteria,pods etc..and much easier to maitain and in the long run wont cause much probs..DSP Might trap a lot of dirt causing no3 shot..but like your question is stated..i think Miracle mud is better..``Happy Reefing!
