The size of the eel's head is about the same as a thumb, just over 2cm in diameter. So far, I've kept with Wrasse, clownfish, tangs etc. Did not enounter fishes been eaten up. Feeding with squid etc 3 times a week.

Snowflake eel, 12" long Kept with me around 8 mths, eats market prawn, squid etc. Want to sell for $12, self collect at Hougang.

Try to feed more often, maybe to the extend of overfeeding. Or even other variety of food. 4 dead yellow tangs is quite a record! If the fishes did not die of cyanide poisoning, then the prob lies with u. How old is the tank? Are the water parameters good?

IMO, 2ft tank is too small and stressful for the Angel and Purple tang, it may tk some time for them to get over the ich cycle and be immune. U shld start off with easier and hardy fish instead of this 2 type. Meanwhile do not add more fish, and maintain stable and tip top water parameters. Add garlic guard to the food also.

Active time was there for few days, play war gaming in air con room, very shiok lah, enjoy life. So much better than roughing out in the field. Maybe U need to go on shift with the rest. Just go there enjoy lah!

I believe halogen is too orangish (incorrect spectrum) for a reef tank, and not efficient in terms of energy usage. MH lamps has a lumen output that is double that of Mercury Vapor lamps of the same wattage. MV lamp's advantage is that they offer long life.

Some hobbyists choose to add iodine supplement to their clam tanks because the believe that iodine helps detoxify excessive oxygen radicals produced by symbiotic algae. If you plan on supplementing iodine, be sure to test the water on a regular basis to avoid overdosing which may lead to nuisance algae and other potential problems within the aquarium. Many aquarists believe that enough iodine is added inadvertently through feeding and water changes since iodine is present in both good quality salt mix and in most aquarium foods. Many other trace elements are important to clam health, but trace element solutions are easily overdosed. Most trace elements can be safely and easily maintained through regular partial water changes. I strongly believe that doing small water changes on a frequent basis is better than larger water changes on a less frequent basis since trace elements will be added more often. Partial water changes have the added benefit of reducing pollutants.

When I was in my Aussie Uni, sometimes take some time off with few glasses of beer, tacos with cheese and a game of pool. Not forgetting the sports channel on projection screen. U will never see anyone rushing for time. That is enjoying LIFE! u can go to Kingscross, Sydney for strip joints....

If ur wife leaves the company, it will be as good as losing her clients (commissions) and hardwork that she put in for so many years. And it is not going to be easy to start fresh in a new company especially when many employers don't give a damn even if u have high qualifications or work experience. [if she has lobang, that is the best!] But if she chooses to stay, may need to have a serious talk again with her boss after the maternity leave about getting back her clients. For her case, if the potential sales commission is a rather large part (or more than) of the income, the more she must fight it back. Meanwhile, gather some proof (invoice, emails) that she has always been handling the same clients for many years. You will never know whether the info will be handy. I doubt Unions or MOM will assist you in this, as in the transfer of clients among colleagues in a company. Good luck!
