I got a Pearly Jawfish 3 weeks ago and did slow drip acclimatising over 2 hours before releasing it into the tank. It slipped behind the rocks and never came out. Last week I bought another one thinking the previous Jawfish is probably dead. Same thing, ran hiding in the rocks and never to appear. Anyone keeping Pearly Jawfish also having similar behavior? They can't be dead right?

I also have a 5cm long purplish black mantis lurking in my tank. I would happily give up the coraline encrusted rock + pistol shrimp + some worms just to cook it with some butter. It has already taken out 2 randall gobies, 1 watchman goby, 1 pearly jawfish. This is killing me.

I'm looking for a few pieces of Florida Ricordea of various colours. If you have some for sale, please let me know. Thanks

My very healthy Giga died within a week because of my wife's clown goby.

Hi Colin, maybe you can keep your ###### in the container for a few days to get them used to your tank. After that release them where you want them to be and they will stay there if there are no predators chewing them up. I find that they grow bigger faster in the main tank.

I use Aquaz Iodine, Magnesium and Kalkwasser. So far my rics are growing and the corals are doing pretty well.

The way I mix.... 1. Add kalkwasser to water 2. Stir 3. Wait 1 hour for particles to settle to the bottom 4. Drip

m203, I think dosing alkalinity will affect ph? Not too sure but I read somewhere that you have to balance alkalinity with calcium....its all too technical for me! So I only do water changes and drip Aquaz Kalkwasser. Chris, Maybe its the lights? My salinity was pretty high for the past 2 months at 1.029. Just tested my kh with Salifert and it shows about the same reading as Tetratest....so dudes may wanna consider paying less for a kh testkit...

Ph and Kh is the only 2 items I test with the cheap tetratest kit. So far pretty stable but not too sure if the results are accurate. I do 10% water change weekly and my tank is doing pretty well but if you follow, do it at your own risk ok

Sure, you can sell and the responsibility lies on the buyer....but....what about ethics? A little irresponsible if you were to do that, especially on a newbie. How many reefers would patronise if you were to run a LFS like this? No offense dude, I think you are running a good sales here but the comments made by the reefers here are valid too.

If you are like me, no money for test kits or too many additives, what I did was to just drip kalkwasser 24/7. Coraline will slowly appear. 2.5 months and I have to scrape them off my glass already.
