  1. Hi Sir Admiraltian, Your suggestion work wonders. Now 0 ppm Nitrate Thanks to Biofuel and Bacter7 and partial 10% WC. Thanks again fellow reefers for the advices. Water Parameters as of December 17, 2013 Salinity: 1.025 Ammonia: 0 ppm Nitrite: 0 ppm Nitrate: 0 ppm Ph: 8.3 Alkalinity: 9 dKH Phospate: 0 ppm Calcium: 450 ppm Magnesium: 1300 ppm
  2. Patience? I need an abundance of it... hahaha

  5. Hi Sir Lemon Lemon, For a 65 gallon tank, how much red bamboo should I put? I bought 1 bunch at coral farm last Saturday for 6sgd.
  6. Water Parameters as of December 09, 2013 Salinity: 1.025 Ammonia: 0.0 ppm Nitrite: 0 ppm Nitrate: 10 ppm Ph: 8.2 Alkalinity: 10 dKH Phospate: 0 ppm Calcium: 430 ppm Magnesium: 1250 ppm Already performed two 20% water changes and added Red Bamboo algae together with my chaeto in my refugium. I still cant bring down Nitrate. Any tricks of the trade or advice?
  7. Water parameters as of December 3, 2013 Salinity: 1.024 Ammonia: 0.0 ppm Nitrite: 0 ppm Nitrate: 0.2 ppm Ph: 8.0 Alkalinity: 12 dKH Phospate: 0 ppm Calcium: 440 ppm Magnesium: 1140 ppm Should be ok to start putting coral frags, digi and or monti's? Kindly advice. Thanks.
  8. Thank you for the comment.. Once everything reach 0 for ANN.. Will be adding corals and fish soon..
  9. Water Parameters as of 2013/11/28 Salinity: 1.025 Ammonia: 0.0 ppm Nitrite: 0.50 ppm Nitrate: 10 ppm Ph: 8.1 Alkalinity: 9.3 dKH or 3.30 meq/L So far so good, right?
  10. Your advice is great and I will be able to save alot for the other test kits. I will take this by heart and proceed other parameter testings after ANN are 0. Thank you very much!
  11. Hi Bro, The correct parameters based from the article I read are as follows: PH should be between 8.1 ~ 8.3 Alkalinity between 7~11 dKH. I am still on my 6th day cycling the tank and will keep monitoring water parameters. Based from this article: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-03/rhf/#9 "if the pH is above 8.5 and the alkalinity is not above 4 meq/L, then the aquarium is not fully equilibrated with carbon dioxide in the air." But my alkalinity is above 4 meg/L, so i'm still reading more on this. For alkalinity, I will start doing 5% water changes and continue to monitor. Hope anyone can also provide inputs on this.
  12. Hi Moderator, Please close this thread. I have decided to use existing MH and T5's and prioritize on other items. Thank you so much.
  13. Moderator please close this thread. I already got my return pump from a very nice reefer. Thank you very much!
  14. Noted on this sir. Today is my 6th day cycling the tank. Hopefully everything will get better soon.
  15. Thanks bro. Will do water parameter religiously to ensure water quality.
  16. Yeah its very high.. Please advice how to lower it? Will 5% - 10% water change on a daily basis help lower Alkalinity?
  17. Water Parameters as of 2013/11/26 Salinity: 1.024 Ammonia: 0.5 ppm Nitrite: 0 ppm Nitrate: 10 ppm Ph: 8.8 Alkalinity: 13.4 dKH Phospate: 0 ppm Any comments, suggestions and advices would be greatly appreciated.
  18. A bro advised to have proper water circulation that's why I came up with this scape. Thank you very much for the comments.
