Think oyster shells is either raise or lower ph.. Both does not have an effect on nutrients for corals

Carbon could affect skimmer performance, but it usually lasts about a few weeks. Urs for so long could be due to water level height

If it is normal hair algae maybe can try algae turf scrubber? I was running one initially den i tried taking it offline, in a few days my rocks were covered in GHA, i got a sea hare and started running the ATS. Now i gave away the sea hare and i dun have anymore HA on my rocks
